The South Tyrolean Whipcracking (‘Goaslschnöller’) Association invites you to the Whipcracking Championship. Whipcracking will be performed in groups of 2, 3 or 4, and judged on posture, volume and timing. The loud whipcrack sound has been used by South Tyrolean herdsmen to drive cattle for centuries. However, whipcracking was also a means of communication over long distances on the alpine pastures, for example to communicate when food was ready or someone was injured. Today, it’s used at religious events, village and alpine festivals, parades and Alpine cattle drives to keep the old tradition alive. The 25th anniversary of Goaßlschnöller Villnöss valley is also celebrated. Followed by an after show party in the tent.

The "Arche" symbolizes the starting point of a constantly changing encounter between wind and string instruments — a unique sound laboratory. You can expect an evening full of captivating rhythms from Piazzolla, Francini, and Gardel, as well as works by the Merano-based composer Marcello Fera, including his piece "Cuatro" (a commissioned work by the South Tyrolean Artists' Association): pulsating rhythms guided by the idea of understanding dance as the origin of the art of sound. After the Holy Mass and the Margarethen Procession in the Parish Church of St. Margaret, the ceremonial parade of the Music village band Monguelfo and the Music village band Kiefersfelden begins at around 10:45 am., marching through the village center to the music pavilion at the Piazza Cenntrale. At 11:00 am., the Music village band from Kiefersfelden will entertain guests with a concert, followed by a performance of the Music village band from Monguelfo at 01:00 pm.. Delicious food and drinks will be available.

Starting at 11:00 a.m., visitors can look forward to a festive day in the heart of the Dolomites with a barbecue and Tyrolean specialities – surrounded by lush alpine meadows, fresh mountain air, and genuine Tyrolean spirit.

At the festival of the mountain huts, music groups provide hearty hut fun, and South Tyrolean specialties are served at all the alpine huts. The comfortable Ratschings-Jaufen cable car shortens the ascent to the mountain station.

On a total of 11 dates, the summit of Kronplatz will be the setting for a special cultural experience that brings South Tyrolean tradition to life.

The Gong Bath Sound is a sound massage and therapy that brings the participants to meditation and deep relaxation. During the Gong Bath you lie comfortably on the meadow in the middle of the nature and listen to the magic and harmonious sounds of several gongs, Himalayan singing bowls and many other instruments.
