A day at the lake

Located at the foot of the Schlern Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site and not far from Europe's largest high-altitude alpine pasture known as Seiser Alm, Lake Völser Weiher is a popular excursion destination and it's easily accessible. What's more, this small bathing lake lies in the heart of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park where you can soak up the beauty of the landscape. Its waters reflect the mostly flat summit of the Schlern mountain and the dense coniferous forests all around provide shade from hot sunny days. When you arrive at the lake, spend relaxing moments on the wooden bathing jetty or lush green lawn and if you're around here during summer, you can even dive into the cool lake water! Would you like to set out on a hike? There are some great hikes from Lake Völser Weiher leading up to spectacular viewpoints, like the popular trail to the Tuffalm alpine hut.
