The walk begins at the valley station of the Seiser Alm cable car and leads firstly towards Salegg and shortly afterwards over a beautiful woodland trail (no. 2) through the Hauenstein forest. A slight descent takes you down to a wooden bridge which crosses the "Strasser Graben" before heading uphill again, over the beautiful "Tschurtsch" meadow with a view over the nearby Schlern, and up to Völser Weiher lake where you can jump in for a cooling dip on a hot summer’s day or, if you prefer, simply enjoy a stroll around the lake.
The return journey follows a path to St. Konstantin. From there, you can simply follow Trail No. 11 back to Seis am Schlern. Alternatively, you can shorten the return trip with the shuttle bus (Line 2) or the public bus (Line 170). Another option is to walk the route in the reverse direction.
