Antholz is ready to write a new chapter in its long sporting history: from 8 to 21 February 2026, it will be hosting the biathlon competitions of the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. A significant milestone for one of the most popular locations among athletes and fans around the world. In this valley, biathlon is more than just a sport: it is part of the landscape, culture and local identity. The stadium, nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, has hosted numerous World Cups, and continues to thrill thousands of fans. The routes are technical, immersed in nature, and designed for excitement. The South Tyrolean champion  Dorothea Wierer, who took Italy to the top of the international rankings, also honed her craft on these slopes. Anyone familiar with biathlon in Antholz knows what to expect: passion, precision, perfect snow, and a valley that always offers an authentic welcome.

Olympic Biathlon: when and how to watch it

During the Olympic Winter Games  Milano Cortina 2026, the biathlon competitions in Antholz will take place at the South Tyrol Arena. This modern, sustainable facility can accommodate thousands of fans and will be one of the most popular hubs for the Olympics.

  • 18 February 2026 – Women's 4×6 km relay
  • 20 February 2026 – Men's 15 km mass start
  • 21 February 2026 – Women's 12.5 km mass start

How to get to Antholz

During the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, you can reach the South Tyrol Arena thanks to dedicated connections and enhanced services

  • By train and shuttle

    Upon reaching the village of Olang/Valdaora, in the Puster Valley, the Olang-Antholz/Valdaora-Anterselva railway station is the ideal starting point to reach the South Tyrol Arena. You can then take shuttle B to Antholz-Mittertal/Anterselva di Mezzo. Next take a short walk (5 minutes) to shuttle A, which will leave you about 15 minutes' walk from the entrance to the Arena.

  • By car with Park & Ride

    Two free parking areas are available, with no reservations:

    • Olang: shuttle B + walk (5 minutes) + shuttle A (15 minutes on foot from the Arena)
    • Antholz: 5 minutes on foot to the spectator terminal, then shuttle A to 850 metres from the Arena
