You can be trained riders or just beginners, you can come alone or in a group, riding one of ourHafling horses or your own one, anyway we will be glad of your visit and we will do everything, in order to fulfill all you personal wishes. For us the horseshoe is definitely a lucky symbol. As we spoke about beginners, don’t be shy! Start your first riding holiday in South Tyrol! Our guided rides will enjoy you. A lot of funny days on horseback will wait for you.

Our riding arena (30x50m) provides an unobstructed riding fun in the open air, with breathtaking views of the Sesto Dolomites and a large selection of beautiful treks directly from the farm. The obvious choice for hourly and day rides, riding lessons for adults and children, taster and long hours.

The Haflingerhof is one of the highest-altitude farmsteads in South Tyrol, and welcomes guests throughout the year. It offers chiefly horseback rides to refreshment stations, meadows, and mountain summits. But even inexperienced horseback riders can learn the basics.

The farmstead is approx. 8 km from Sarnthein / Sarentino Village, at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea-level, with a magnificent view.

The Tscherluierhof makes the hearts of small and big horse lovers beat faster.

In addition to new stables and paddocks with species-appropriate horse keeping and a great panoramic riding arena, the Tscherluierhof is particularly characterized by individual riding lessons and the warmth of the riding instructor and horse farm manager, Susanne.

We focus on horse-friendly riding, whether in the Classical-English riding style or Western riding. The horses and ponies are exceptionally well-behaved and well-trained.

• Guided pony rides through the forest on our ponies and horses, approximately 50 minutes. Riders are welcome to groom and care for their ponies and horses beforehand. For children aged two and above
• Lunge lessons for beginners: The first basic riding skills are taught on the lunge. The horse walks on a long line around the riding instructor, who teaches the rider the correct seat and aids of riding. Lunge lessons last for 30 minutes. For children aged six and above.
• Riding lessons for advanced riders: On our well-trained horses, riders improve their riding skills. The riding lessons are conducted in small groups of up to three riders and last approximately 50 minutes. For children aged six and above.

For animal welfare reasons, we can only provide our horses to individuals weighing up to a maximum of 80 kg.

Guests are welcome to assist in the care and feeding of the horses.

The area around Eppan is ideal for riding.
Just 5 minutes drive from Eppan is the riding stables Überetsch, a real insider tip in the forest of Montiggl. A must for all riding fans.

The Adamhof stables offer introductory lessons and guided rides out into the terrain for children, beginners, and advanced riders. Romantic carriage rides or a sleigh ride through the snowy winter landscape of the Sarentino Valley round out our offers.

In the land of the Haflingers

South Tyrol is the home of the gentle-natured and sturdy Haflinger horses, which are bred all over the world. Just like everywhere else in the country, there are excellent horseback riding opportunities in and around Lana, offering Haflingers and other breeds. Carriage rides across the town of Lana for the whole family are offered once a week during July and August.

Lana Equestrian Park and the Merano Riding Club

If you would like to get a closer look at the Haflingers, you might want to book a trial riding lesson. Many stables also offer guided tours on horseback or pony treks, as well as individual or group riding lessons. The Lana Equestrian Park offers a wide spectrum of services for accomplished riders and breeders, including livery, while the Meran Riding Club lets you discover the diversity of breeds and disciplines at their extensive riding facilities.

If you are more interested in horse racing and athletics, the Merano race track is the place to be.

Racing season at Maia Bassa

The Merano race track in Maia Bassa is the main meeting point for Haflinger fans every year, when the traditional Haflinger race is held on Easter Monday. At other times, the track hosts racing events with noble thoroughbreds from around the world. During the entire racing season from spring until autumn, fans can watch top sporting events with professional jockeys. The season highlight each year is the high-stakes 5000 m steeplechase event, the 'Meran-Forst Grand Prix', held in late September.

The farm Grasspeinten in Pfalzen is located near the edge of the forest and is a little paradise for people who love nature and horses. In addition to riding lessons, you can also take beautiful rides on forest and field paths and explore the area on horseback. The horses of the farm - most of them are Haflingers - are ridden with English saddle and are good reliable partners for riding lessons in the track as well as in the countryside. Both group lessons and private lessons are offered, as well as many other activities. In addition to numerous small animals, three particularly lovely ponies are waiting in the petting zoo for the little visitors.

The riding stable was built in 2000. It is a big riding school and also a plcace where events are held.

There are also islandic horses. You can ride, take riding lessons and the children can participate in horse week during the summer.

Since June 2023, the Bodnerhof has opened its doors to horse lovers and riding enthusiasts. 

Whether you are already at home in the saddle or sitting on a horse for the first time, we have the right adventure for you. Do you already have riding experience? Then you are welcome to join us on a ride. We will show you the most beautiful trails and take you on a breathtaking adventure.

Would you like to improve your riding skills or is this your first time on a horse? You are welcome to attend a western-style riding lesson with us, where we will individually cater to your previous knowledge and show you the world of western riding and fine communication with the horse.

Whether spring, summer, fall or winter - we offer our services at any time and look forward to seeing you.

The farm Bacherhof does not only offer you a petting zoo for children, but also traditional South-Tyrolean delicacies as well as daily guided riding tours and rides on the back of ponies for the young.

Riding lessons at our own riding arena for beginners and advanced riders as well as exciting excursions in a great landscape. A real highlight are the 1 to 3 day rides with an overnight stay on our hut.

The horse stable at the entrance of Val Gardena is open since 20 years. Try your experience on a horse trip through the nature of the UNESCO Dolomites or during a riding lesson in the ring. The typical Südtirol Haflinger horses are suitable for children who want to try the first attempt by horse.

The Horse riding school Vöran is located between Vöran/Verano and Mölten/Meltina and has a wide range to offer passionate equestrians:

The horse riding school Verano is open all year round. A reservation is necessary.

For experienced horsemen we offer exciting outings on horseback into our wonderful alpine landscape. You will always be accompanied by our cross-country riding guide and riding instructor Alberich. We offer riding lessons for beginners and pony rides for children. At the Steinerhof, all horse-enthusiasts are guaranteed to enjoy themselves.
