Easy trail circuit in Altprags/Braies Vecchia, which is above all sunny. The circuit has almost no incline and is therefore idel for beginners and children.
The round-trip tour is starting at the cross-country stadium Nordic Arnea in Toblach/Dobbiaco ans is often used as a training track by various national cross-country teams from all over the world.
Enjoy cross country skiing on the perfectly groomed circular trail. The round leads in a large loop over the fields near the forest and on the other side of the village of Schmieden/Ferrara. In a sunny location and with almost no incline, the circuit is also ideal for beginners and children. The route serves on one hand as a connection to the cross country ski trail in the direction of "Gasthof Mösslhof" inn, and in the opposite direction as a connection in the direction of the Prags/Braies ski lifts and on to Brückele/Ponticello.

“Im Gemärk” is the German name for a pass height located at 1,530 m. Shortly before the pass, the provincial border runs between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno.
You can find the entrance to the cross country ski trail on the right side of the Tuscherhof inn. You keep going straight ahead until you come to the connection to the Schmieden/Ferrara circuit. As soon as you have done half of this circular route, the briefly but slighlty rising trail leads you to the Mösslhof inn.
A fantastic experience of nature through the winter-wood at the south side of the Lake of Dobbiaco. This short variant is needed to connect the east bank with the west bank.
This cross-country trail runs in the shade towards Welsberg/Monguelfo.
The starting point is the Niederdorf/Villabassa train station. After 2.8 km, there is a junction towards Prags/Valle di Braies.
The trail ends in Welsberg/Monguelfo after 5.5 km.
From there, it connects to the extensive trail network of the next region – ideal for those who want to extend their tour or plan a connecting stage.
You can find the entrance to the cross country ski trail directly at the Prags/Braies ski lifts. At the beginning the trail leads you a little downhill, then you keep on going straight until you come to a somewhat difficult ascent. Once you have reached the highest point, you are only a few meters away from Brückele/Ponticello. A dreamy winter landscape awaits you on this section of the trail!

This circular trail starts at Fischleintalboden and runs through the scenically impressive Fischleintal valley to the Talschlusshütte hut and back again.

You can find the track entrance right next to the Tuscherhof inn. The slightly rising track leads you directly through the snow-covered winter forest to the Prags/Braies skilifts at Altprags/Braies Vecchia.
From there, you can continue till Brückele/Ponticello.
On the 2000 Plätzwiese high plateau in the middle of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park, where many cross country stars have used this circuit to prepare for Olympic gold, the excellent snow conditions offer wonderful hours on cross country skies. This unique circuit is also recommended for beginners and enthusiasts. Here, where the snowy days tend to start before the first days of December and sometimes last until the last days of March, you can experience peace and nature combined with stunning views of some of the famous peaks of the Dolomites (Hohe Gaisl peak, Monte Cristallo and the Tofane).
The starting point is the Villabassa railway station (1,154 m) and the underpass at the Agricultural Consortium.
The end point is Ferrara di Braies (1,206 m).
The length is 5.5 km with an altitude difference of 52 m.
Alternatively, it is possible to continue in the direction of Toblach.
The Sun Track, section Niederdorf/Villabassa to Toblach/Dobbiaco, starts above the parish church of St. Stephen at an altitude of 1,160 meters.
The end point is the Toblach/Dobbiaco sports zone, with the option to continue to the Schmieder Bridge at 1,240 meters.
The trail is approximately 3 kilometers long, or 4.5 kilometers if you continue to the bridge.
The difference in altitude along the route is about 85 meters.
