The legend trail: starting from restaurant Edelweiss until Lavena (E5), you will find 14 figures and statues about San Genesio's legends. 132 students of the elementary school of San Genesio have worked on this amazing project.

We follow the sign "Guggal" (N. 8) which is in front of the hotel "Zum Rössl". We walk down to the stream "Guggal" through wonderful meadows and then up to the component locality Guggal. From here we follow the branding N. 8 through grasslands with larches on it until we reach the alpine cabin "Fraulalm".
The closely located "Schönblick" is for sure worth a quick side-trip. Back to the alpine cabin we follow the sign N. 7 "Sportplatz" and reach the access road to Altrei/Anterivo. After about 200m we get to the sports area and to the bar "Ebnerrast" which is the only possibility of fare. Now we follow the sign "Altrei".
Italy’s first premium winter trail is located on the Rittner Horn mountain. Along the trail, especially during the descent from the Rittner Horn peak to the Unterhorn inn, you can enjoy panoramic views of the fascinating Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Route: the winter hike begins at the mountain station of the Bergbahn Rittner Horn cable car on the Schwarzseespitze peak. Pass by the Runder Tisch viewpoint and the “Dolomitoskop” on the panoramic trail no. 19 to the Unterhorn inn. Bear left at the Feltuner Hütte mountain hut and continue following the markers up to the Rittner Horn, the highest point. Head via the Alpine pastures down to the Unterhornhaus inn and to the Schwarzenseespitze.
An alternative route for families with children: take only the smaller circular route along the panoramic trail. Walking time: approx 1 hour.
Tip: The easy way to get from Bolzano/Bozen to Soprabolzano/Oberbozen is on the Rittner Seilbahn cable car. Continue on the narrow-gauge railway to Collalbo/Klobenstein. Finally take bus 166 to the valley station of the Bergbahn Rittner Horn cable car.
From the vally station cablecar Corno del Renon, the parking area in “Pemmern” (1.541 m) we take the cable car to the Schwarzseespitze (2.070 m). There we follow the indication “Panoramaweg” beginning on the right. The famous “Round Table” an the "Dolomitoskop" are created by the artist “Franz Messner”. You will enjoy the fantastic panorama to the Dolomites (UNESCO–world natural heritage).
If you want to make your day even more romantic, decide for a winter hike for young and old. Where there were wide meadows in spring, summer and autumn, wide white snowfields spread out now. Enjoy a white and quiet Meltina!
The first destination, the Bacherhof, is situated in a quiet location and is ideal for families with children.
The church of St. Ulrich was built in Romanesque style and was rebuilt in 1859. Here, hikers enjoy a great view of the surrounding white mountains.
This hiking tour will lead us through a pine wood to the idyllic Lake Göller, to the “Göller Spitz” (Peak Göller) and the “Rotwand”, a spectacular cliff with an amazing panoramic view of the South Tyrolean mountains and the Val d’Adige. On our way home we will see a ruin called “Burgstallegg” and one of the most beautiful biotopes in South Tyrol, the “Pigleider Moos”.
The Malga Lingeralm is located above the village Meltina in the middst of the sunny high plateau Tschögglberg. From here you have an excellent panoramic-view. For small and large is provided with a sun terrace and a small children's playground with swing. Typical South Tyrolean dishes and cakes are offered.

This route with its moderate rise is suitable for baby buggy. You will need just 45 minutes passing through the broad forest road.
The Malga Giogo di San Genesio (Jenesier Jöchl-Alm) is a typical South Tyrolean Alpine hut with grazing animals and snack bar, situated on one of the most beautiful high plateau between Salto/San Genesio, Merano2000 and Val Sarentino, tested and awarded from the influential restaurant guide Gault Millaut 2016.
From the terrace of the hut you will have a beautiful view to the Dolomites and the Mendel Crest.
The Sattlerhütte is a very beautifully situated, rustic pasture below the Möltner Kaser. The hike can be done at any time of the year: in winter as a snowshoe tour, in autumn - when the larches turn yellow-gold, in the summer because of the lush green meadow and especially in spring, when the alpine meadows turn into a flowering sea of crocuses and other spring flowers.

Next, you reach the Helfenberg castle ruin and at the same time you can enjoy the marvellous panorama of the surrounding area. The descent towards Terlano/Terlan leads you to the final castle ruin Neuhaus/Maultasch and here ends the trail „Castelronda“.

This hiking tour is easy and tranquil - perfect for a walk with your family. You will come through peaceful woods and pass the small brook of Aldino.
Mölten is embedded in mountain meadows and oriented towards the sun and the mountain Tschögglberg. It is centrally located and only a short drive away from Meran and Bozen.

This beautiful hiking tour leads from Aldino to the place of pilgrimage "Maria Weissenstein/ Pietralba". We go past spectacular viewpoints and the mountain huts "Schmieder Alm" and "Schönrast Alm".
Start from the Kampidell parkplace and follow trail to the Jenesiener Jöchl and then walk on with the snowshoes along trail no. 23b until you reach Stoanerne Mandlen. On your way back, walk along trail no. 23b until you reach the Möltner Kaser restaurant and trail no. 28 to come back to your starting point. Duration of the excursioin: 5 hours hours - Drop/rise: 350 m
Along the hiking trail from Jenesien to Tschaufen, there is much to experience, for young and old. In the meadows along the hiking trail and in the forests you can meet different kinds of animals. There is a beautiful panorama on the plateau Tschaufen, and the the eponymous restaurant on the Salto awaits you with an extensive menu of homemade pastries and delicious cold dishes.

Trail no.1- Suitable for pushchairs. Jenesien, departure from the sportsground on trail no. 33 or trail no.1. Walk along trail no. 1 or the E5 European long-distance walking trail trough the hilly landscape offered by the Salten, to then reach the little church of St. Jacob and Langfenn. Our Hikers' bus can drive xou back to Jenesien. Duration of the excursion: 2 hours and 30 minutes - Drop/rise: 440 m
Follow the E5 European long-distance trail or trail no. 1 and stop at the Gschnofer Stall restaurant. From here, walk along to Tomanegger and come back to the point of departure. Duration of the excursion: 3 hours - Drop/rise: 360 m
