Schmidt becomes SCHMIEDL

Lana's village bakery is now called SCHMIEDL and is run by Johannes, Tobias and Greta. The young generation builds on over 100 years of experience and brings a fresh look and many new ideas to the bakery. SCHMIEDL relies on high-quality, natural ingredients, traditional craftsmanship and long dough processes. "Our most important ingredient is time," says master baker Johannes, "it makes our baked goods easy to digest and gives them their unique taste." Around 200 recipes are used in the SCHMIEDL bakery. A good portion of these are the carefully mixed pre-doughs, which together with the natural yeasts in the form of Lievito Madre and sourdough make the baked goods juicier, longer lasting and even tastier.

In 1980 Walter Wallnöfer established his goldsmith business, Goldschmiede Wallnöfer. Both business locations, in Völs am Schlern and in Kastelruth are run as a family business involving Walter’s daughter Karin and his wife Marianne.

Sports store and cross-country ski rental directly at the cross-country ski center Schlinig.

Apiculture in Rasun di Sotto/Niederrasen. The delicious honey is produced on the farm.

Our delicacies shop Ansitz zum Löwen is located directly on the main square of Burgeis.

The Carezza Shop is located directly at the parking place of the Lago di Carezza.

We offer selected, traditional meat and smoked specialities produced in our butchery with natural spices. Furthermore you can find a variety of local specialities, gift and souvenirs.
