The playground which is located in Kaltern’s village centre (towards the parking area Trutsch) hosts some very nice attractions for our little guests, such as: sandboxes, slides, swings, climbing frames and much more.

In 2023, a brand new adrenaline rush is coming to the Speikboden. We can’t wait to welcome you to CROSS WOODS, Italy’s first forest slide park.

Works will begin beneath Pirate’s Rock, the magical via ferrata for children, in early summer. In July 2023, things will really get off to a flying start when the first visitors go speeding down the four landscape slides. Meanwhile, newbies to the world of sliding can find their feet in the small slide field under the trees.

And it goes without saying that CROSS WOODS is a zero-emissions attraction; visitors walk to the top on foot and are whisked away by the force of gravity and their own body weight.

Slide riders can rent a slide mat from one of our staff members at a cost of 5 euros per day. This enables riders to go down the slides as many times as they wish and spend as long on them as their adrenaline rush lasts! For each paying adult, one child under the age of 12 can use a slide mat free of charge.

The unique play and adventure area covers an area of several hundred square meters and is divided into four play stations for different age groups.

On the path, which is suitable for strollers, you will first encounter the playground, which is especially suitable for children from 1 to 4 years. After that, the water world awaits you with the undisputed highlight: the 56-meter long super slide - the longest in all of South Tyrol. And the parents? They are happy about the unexpected time out, soak up the sun and enjoy the panorama. That's how relaxed a family vacation in Olang/Valdaora can be.

By the way: a visit to the Kids World can be optimally combined with a bike tour. It is located directly on the Pustertal Valley cycle path.
