46km - 500 m eleveation gain Along the panoramic road we pass the Merano winery and continue through Marlengo to Forst, the largest brewery in Italy. With a gentle climb we reach the entrance to Val Venosta, at Tel. Passing the impressive hydroelectric power plant, we ride down what bikers affectionately call the “little Stelvio” to Lagundo. On the way to Merano we enjoy a wonderful view of the three imposing castles: Tyrol Castle, Brunnenburg, and Thurnstein; the short climb up to Tyrol is steep, but not long. We then cross the Finele Valley to Kuens on the Tiroler Trail, with views of some earth pyramids. We continue along the quiet road to the Val Passiria cycle path and ride down the valley through the Sissi Park to Merano. Following the bike paths we see the most beautiful parts of the city, before passing the large horse racing track and returning via Cermes back to Lana.

ONLY IN GERMAN AND ITALIAN! Around the beehive, many garden and wild herbs grow, such as sage, thyme, rosemary, wormwood, plantain, ground elder, yarrow, and nettle. Herbal drinks are made from these plants, with herbal expert Brigitta Patzleiner explaining the beneficial properties of each herb. Afterwards, the drinks can be sampled. In addition, three take-home products are made together: a calendula salve or lip balm, an herbal salt, and an herbal liqueur. Herbs are so valuable because all their components, such as minerals, vitamins, and nutrients, correspond to the elements of the human body. This allows them to be easily absorbed and transported within the body to where they are needed. For example, a green rosemary drink stimulates circulation, provides energy, activates the brain, and improves concentration and memory. The ancient Greeks already knew this: students would wear a rosemary wreath during exams. Today, this effect has also been scientifically proven.

The Language Café is a way to practise speaking a foreign language in company and in an informal environment. At the Don Bosco Library in Laives you will find a moderator for each table, i.e. for each language. Depending on the language you want to practise in, choose your table, sit down and... start chatting! You will talk to the moderator or moderator and the other people like you sitting at that table. If you get tired, you can safely leave or change tables. In general, it is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of your chosen language in order to be able to follow the conversation and participate actively.

In this workshop, she will be showing you how to arrange natural materials and succulent plants to create a desert oasis-style landscape within a bowl. Succulent bowls make a fabulous design feature for every home. Please bring: one or two small clay or ceramic bowls with a diameter of approx. 30 cm. Additionally: Gloves and a pruning shears. The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle will supply all other materials.

A musical and theatrical work that combines live music, voices, movement, images and touch, offering young children an exciting first encounter with the language of performing arts. Inspired by Suzy Lee's illustrated book The Wave, Onde transports young audiences into a poetic world where the sea becomes a space for play, discovery and transformation. The show is the result of specific artistic and pedagogical research on early childhood, curated by the Petra Theatre Company, in collaboration with L'Albero and the Senzaspine Orchestra, as part of the European project Grow Inclusive Opera, supported by the Boarding Pass Plus programme of the Ministry of Culture.

This place of worship, located at the top of a hill, is the only one in Tyrol dedicated to Saint Verena. It was first mentioned in official documents in the 13th century. The church overlooks the northern side of the Eisack Valley, offering an extraordinary view of the Sciliar massif. Visible from afar, it stands on an ancient place of worship and the remains of prehistoric hilltop forts, which were later transformed into a Christian sanctuary

"I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby..." Letter of Freud to Jung (February 1911). And how did this link between the ideal place for Bolzano residents to go for a bit of 'Sommerfrische', or summer cool, and the genius tourist Sigmund Freud come about? In a letter dating February 1911, he reveals to Carl Gustav Jung «Next summer. I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby». So, before Easter, on Friday, the 14th of April, he leaves Vienna in the company of his friend and pupil Sandor Ferenczi and makes a quick tour lasting just six days to find a suitable place around Trento and Bolzano. He returns to Vienna the following Thursday and his research produces excellent results in the form of Ritten/Renon near Bolzano. Consequently, on the 9th of July, Freud sets off from Karlsbad, where he was staying to recover from a bout of 'American colitis', and joins his family at Klobenstein. This is where the Freuds celebrate their silver wedding anniversary, on 14th September - the enjoyment of their holiday thus being enhanced by love and affection. Like around 30 other churches, monasteries, and chapels along the "Alpine Road of Romanesque Art," the round church of St. Georgen in Schenna will take part in the "Days of the Romanesque" on October 11 and 12, 2025. The church is one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture and painting in the Alpine region and is one of only three preserved round churches in South Tyrol. Particularly impressive are the late Gothic winged altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and the 14th-century frescoes depicting scenes from the martyrdom of Saint George.
