The Krampus Parade of the “Höllischen Pichl/Gsies” has long established itself as a true crowd-puller, captivating countless visitors from near and far every year. Terrifying masks, the ringing of heavy bells, and a thrilling atmosphere turn this event into a spine-chilling yet unforgettable experience as the Krampuses begin their impressive parade. Krampus groups from South Tyrol compete against each other for the title of the most frightening performance of the evening. An expert jury evaluates the dynamics, show factor, stage presence, and authenticity of the eerie figures. The parade starts at 7:00 pm, and along the route hot drinks ensure that guests stay cozy even on this frosty winter night. The evening culminates with the After-Show Party – featuring lively music and cheerful celebrations lasting late into the night.

For more than half a century, the "Nikolauskommitee Schlanders" has been introducing the old South Tyrolean tradition of St. Nicholas parade. Passing the retirement home and the hospital, St. Nicholas runs with his carriage through the center to the Plawennpark, where the celebration ends. St Nicholas procession with little Krampuses in Lana. The idea of taking away the fear of Krampus from the youngest children in our village at an early age bore great fruit last year. St. Nicholas will parade through the Gries with his little entourage on 6 December and distribute his gifts to the children at the Thalerhof, from the Capuchin church in Lana at 5.00 pm.

One of the most magical and eagerly awaited traditions of the Christmas season is the arrival of St. Nicholas. He is a wise and kind old man and brings light and warmth during this festive season. Today he awaits you, accompanied by his little angels, to give you a small gift. After the arrival of Saint Nicholas, there will also be the opportunity to enjoy a warming mulled wine or a hot tea.

There will be distributed small gifts to the children.

In Colfosco there is already a special Christmas atmosphere in the air from the beginning of December. The village is decorated with lights and Christmas ornaments. The church square with the majestic Sella Group as a backdrop is particularly impressive: a landscape straight out of a picture book. Every year, on the church square, memories and customs are renewed, such as the visit of Saint Nicholas, who at 5.30 p.m. visits the children on the church square bringing candies and sweets. Begining of the Festival at 2 p.m. Beginning of the course at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. big after-Show Party with the devils of Kastelruth Every 2 years a Krampus run takes place in Kastelruth, with groups from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. The shappy fright figures with their artfully carved masks will provide again for a mad athmosphere, when they move in the village center and introduce themselves to the public. Various clubs will provide food and drinks on the parade. Afterwards a Krampus party is celebrated in the heated tent with a DJ until late into the night.
