That holiday feeling is in the air in rural Marling, a town with urban flair just three km from Meran. Especially in springtime, hints of the Mediterranean combine with a colourful natural spectacle: The many fields around the village become like a sea of apple blossoms, a view which can be enjoyed on one of the many strolling or hiking trails. The Marling Waalweg canal trail extends 12 km along the former irrigation canal and is the longest of its kind in Meran/Merano and environs. In addition to apples, Marling is known for its asparagus, schnapps, and especially for its wine .
