    The Bioenergetic Park
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
The Bioenergetic Park, a gift from Nature

The bioenergetic path that runs along the Isarco river is an area that offers the unique possibility of experiencing, in an urban area, a very close and deep contact with Nature. A recent and innovative bio-energetic study of the park, has revealed the electromagnetic fields generated by trees and their beneficial interplay with humans. Some of these electromagnetic frequencies can have a very favourable effect on certain organs or systems of the human body and, in particular conditions, their effect can extend up to several metres away from the tree, creating bio-energetic areas that are particularly suitable for a people wanting to take a regenerating break. Walk along the promenade in order to find bioenergetic areas that help your well-being. Signposts show you the main human organs on which the energy of the trees can have the greatest therapeutic effect.

It is recommended that you stay in these areas for at least 15 minutes to enjoy the benefits generously offered by Nature.

    Treehugging, a conscious embrace
here you can experience embracing a tree or simply lean against the trunk with your back. It is suggested that you remain in direct contact with the tree for 10 minutes, so that your body and mind can benefit from the useful energy impulses, thus stimulating the correct performance of the biological functions indicated.

    Castelronda, the castles trail
    Bolzano/Bozen, Bolzano/Bozen and environs
The ‘Castelronda’ path connects Bolzano, San Genesio and Terlano: it’s a beautiful scenic trail boasting castles and ruins, winding its way across the hilly slopes surrounding the South Tyrolean capital. The trail is a good 20 km long and is embellished by the historical–cultural heritage represented by Roncolo Castle, Rafenstein Castle, Greifenstein and Helfenberg ruins as well as Neuhaus Castle. The ‘Castelronda’ excursion is ideal for a spring and autumn walk, as these seasons allow tourists to revel in the truly beautiful colours of nature.
The entirety of the path features directions and signposts: indeed, plenty of information can be found from the starting points of the tour in Bolzano, Settequerce, Terlano and San Genesio. Moreover, trilingual boards containing practical tips and interesting information about the castles also abound. You don’t have to walk the full 20 km; some stretches are ideal for families with children, while others need a steady footing and are recommended for trained excursionists.
