    Starting point: Val Ridanna – Masseria (1.370m) From the park area at the village center of Masseria walk along the transit road to the Hotel Schneeberg, along the asphalted road to a fork, where you turn left and follow the signpost Martalm. Then continue on relatively flatter ground along the asphalted road, past the heating system of the Hotel Schneeberg, through an underpass and uphill in serpentines to the farm Staudnerhof. Pass the farmhouse and continue to walk on a gravel path in the Staudenberg valley. Along the river Staudenberg towards the valley to the first left bend and along a forest path following the signposts “Martalm”. After a short flat section you reach the mountain pasture. Alternative: starting from Bergl (1.560m) the walk time is about 30 minutes

    Starting point: valley head Ridanna (1.417m) Start at the head valley of Ridanna and take path no. 9 on the right, which leads along the Fernerbach and moderately steep up to the Senner-and Aglsboden Plateau. On the eastern edge of the plateau, the path no. 9A branches off on the right and leads steeply up over grassy slopes to the mountain pasture Aglsalm. Tip: cream, hard and grey cheese, alp butter, “Apfelkiachl” (apple pies), donuts on weekends

    Starting point: valley head Ridanna – Masseria (1.417m) This hike starts in Masseria, at the valley head of Ridanna. Cross the Ridanna river at the bridge and keep go left towards the mountain pasture Aglsbodenalm. At an altitude of 1.560m turn right to the mountain pasture Prischeralm. From there go steeply uphill on a forest path to the mountain pasture. Alternative: reachable also from the mountain station Rosskopf Monte Cavallo across the Ridnauner Höhenweg

    Starting point: head valley Val Ridanna - Masseria (1.417m) Start at the gate and follow the asphalted road uphill, very steep at first, then a little flatter after 800m. At the bridge we turn left and follow the signposts to the mountain pasture Moarerbergalm. After the Poschhaus ruin we turn off to the right and hike approx. 200m to the mountain pasture Moarerbergalm. Alternative: reachable by using the bus of the Mining Museum, registration required (Tel. +390472656364) Tip: homemade cheese and butter

    Starting point: Flading, Racines di Dentro (1.482m) The mountain pasture Klammalm can be reached via Flading. You can either drive to the valley by car or walk across the Ratschinger Almenweg to the end of the valley. Walking time Bichl-Flading: approx. 1,5 hrs. from Flading you reach the Klammalm, following the marked trail no. 12 to the mountain pasture. Alternative: reachable also across the Ratschinger Almenweg

    Starting point: upper Gasse (1.500m) The hiking tour starts in Gasse in Ridanna. You can also take the car and drive on for about 15 minutes. Turn left towards “Entholz” and at the sign to the Valtiglalm drive on about 2 kilometers until you reach a wooden bridge, where you can park your car. Then follow the path no. 26 upwards to the mountain pasture Valtiglalm. Tip: traditional dishes

    Starting point: Via Passo Giovo, park area Kalcheralm (1.790m) For those who prefer shorter hikes. First take the car to the Via Giovo – the starting point. From the large park area – signage Kalcheralm – you have to walk about 45 minutes to finally reach the mountain pasture Kalcheralm. From there you can also begin the Ratschinger Almenweg. Alternative: reachable also from the mountain station Ratschings-Jaufen in about 30 minutes. Tip: dishes of wild game, on the weekend Krapfen and the traditional dish “Blattler mit Kraut”, accessible by car, children’s playground, South Tyrolean beer from the brewery Antonius

Follow the trail no. 28 over a wide path, past the ore processing facility of the mine. The signs to the Stadlalm lead through the beautiful forest of the Lazzacher valley. At the fork turn right to the mountain pasture Stadlalm. Alternative 1: reachable also over the nature trail of the Mining Museum. Alternative 2: circuit cross the panoramic platform Hoher Nock with a 360° panorama view

    From Obertal (1.298 m) in Jaufental, turn left to the hamlet of Ontratt and follow the alpine road respectively the new created hiking trail into the valley. Along the trail we cross the Gurgl cascade, which rushes imposingly over rocky territories and pulverizes the water-molecule. Continuing on trail no. 12A, we take the last few metres before reaching the Bergalm mountain pasture with its alpine dairy.

    Starting point: mountain station cable car Rosskopf Monte Cavallo – Vipiteno (1.850m) Starting from the mountain station of the cable car Rosskopf Monte Cavallo hike along the wide path no. 23. The trail increases slightly southwestwards. Continue to walk over a mountain bridge and further on to the mountain pasture Ochsenalm (1.907m). From there follow the ridgeway under the summits Telfer Weißen to the cirque of the mountain pasture Seeberalm with the lake Seebersee. Alternative: reachable also from the valley head Ridanna across the same path to the mountain pasture Prischeralm and following the path no. 23 towards the mountain pasture Seeberalm. Tip: alpine mountain lake

    Starting point: valley head Ridanna – Masseria (1.417m) From the valley head in Ridanna hike along the path no. 9 through a forest towards the entrance of the Burkhardklamm gorge and continue either along the gorge or on the forest path at your left side to the water barrier of the Aglsboden. From there you can reach the mountain pasture Aglsbodenalm after a walk of 10 minutes on path no. 9. Alternative: reachable also starting from Masseria and following the forest path (1,5h) Tip:fresh trouts, warm meals throughout the day, large sun terrace

Follow the path no. 5 for about 1,5 hours upwards to the first mountain pasture, the Freundalm. Continue on path no. 5 until you reach a fork, from where you turn right to path no. 5A and shortly thereafter reach the mountain pasture Kuhalm. Alternative: reachable also over the mountain railway station Rosskopf Monte Cavallo in about 45 minutes across the panoramic trail. Tip: near-natural and creative dishes from our alpine kitchen and products of our alpine dairy!

From there follow a forest path to the mountain hut Zunderspitzhütte and after about 20 minutes you reach the upper Gewingesalm.

    Starting point: Entholz-Gasse (1.438m) This hike starts at the hamlet “Gasse” just before Ridanna. Follow the signpost “Mareiter Stein” southwards along the asphalted road. Go past the group of farmhouses Entholz. Crossing meadows you soon reach the edge of the forest. Turn right across a stream ditch. The path leads over a forest trail with the marking no. 4A steeply up to the first mowing meadows. There is a street which leads over wavy alpine pastures to the mountain pasture Joggelealm. Alternative: also reachable via the path no. 26 towards the mountain pasture Valtiglalm, whereby you have to turn left on path no. 24b after about half way. Also suitable as a mountain bike tour. Tip: daily fresh strudel, musical events and theatrical performances in the stable, sunrise breakfast on reservation

    We, the Cottage Genziana/Enzian in Zirog we are at the sea level of 1894 an our family manages the cottage sins years. We are reachable by care in summer and by feed in winter. In winter we have a tobogganing area and well prepared for ski touring. Our meals are fool of tradition and local products. Our rooms are small but full of every comfort that you need in the middle of the mountains.
