Sexual violence often leaves scars that last for generation. What does this mean for victims, families and our society? And how can we work together to break this cycle? A travelling exhibition on the research project TRACES. The supporting programme will be announced on the website.

On Sunday, November 30th, the Peter Mitterhofer Typewriter Museum will host an Open House from 10 AM to 6 PM in celebration of the Partschins Advent Market.

The rural Christmas Market in Partschins is a very unique and picturesque one, taking place in the authentic ambience of the historic church square.
In rustic stands you can find precious regional products as well as gastronomic specialties.

The municipality cordially invites you to the grand opening of the new exhibition “Movement – between line and light” by artist Toni Walder.

In his works, Toni Walder deals impressively with the theme of movement – with fine lines, lively structures, and a fascinating play of light and shadow. His works invite you to pause, take a closer look, and discover the dynamics of the moment in color and form.

The brass section of the Niederdorf band will provide musical accompaniment, creating an atmospheric setting with selected pieces and making the exhibition opening a special experience.

Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to chat with the artist over a drink and stimulating conversation.

The Villandro Nativity Scene Friends are creating a Nativity Scene Route in the village from the village to the parish church for the entire Advent period until the Three Wise Men. Showcases have been made in which various nativity scenes are exhibited.

From 4 p.m., when night falls, thelights will bring our village to life and we can visit the illuminated nativity scenes.

With the exhibition “Movement – Between Line and Light,” the Haus Wassermann Museum Niederdorf is dedicating an impressive show to South Tyrolean artist Toni Walder, exploring the tension between watercolor painting and drawing.
Walder understands watercolor as an art of light – and at the same time of risk. In his works, water becomes both partner and adversary, color an expression of inner movement. His landscapes, animal depictions, and atmospheric scenes reveal a deep connection to nature—not as a mere motif, but as a living space of energy, change, and breath.
Walder's watercolors follow in the tradition of great masters such as William Turner and Emil Nolde, but at the same time bear their own quiet signature: the struggle for the fleeting, the visualization of the invisible. In works such as Monte Cristal, an “atmospheric zipper” emerges between heaven and earth, in which light, fog, and stone merge into one another.
In addition to watercolor paintings, the exhibition also features graphite and charcoal drawings—studies of nudes, portraits, and body landscapes. These works refer to Walder's intensive study of drawing, influenced by courses and master classes with Prof. Walter Strobl, Prof. Piotr Sonnwend, Prof. Irsara, and Rafael Zielinski, among others. Here, the line reveals itself as the origin of all pictorial activity—as an elementary movement between control and letting go, as a visible trace of thought and feeling.

During the Advent season, handmade nativity scenes built inside apple crates are displayed in various locations throughout Vadena. They were created by local associations in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Vadena.

Exhibition Daniela Atzwanger
The works exhibited by the artist explore the connection between emotions, experiences, and their symbolic reflection in reality, illustrating how emotions themselves are perceived, processed, and artistically transformed into new forms. They also address fundamental themes of the human condition, such as fear and hope, dream and awareness, relationships and solitude. This polarity is reflected in the composition of the background, which often contrasts with the organic subject through subtle tones and geometric shapes. The clearly defined figures express a very free and at times bold chromatic concept, while various color application techniques give rise to patterns and graphic forms. The viewer’s imagination is stimulated by delicate symbols, allowing the works to resonate in reality as visual echoes.
Daniela Atzwanger, born in 1977 in Brunico, studied graphic design in Bressanone and educational sciences and politics in Innsbruck. Since 2006, she has exhibited in South Tyrol, Hangzhou (China), and Venice. She lives and works in Bolzano. During an evening torchlight hike on the Art and Nature Trail “Troi UNIKA”, Diego Deiana explains the centuries-old craftmanship of Val Gardena as well as the displayed works. The torchlight makes the nine stations particularly atmospheric. In this way art and nature blend harmoniously into each other.

Museion Ink is a space where art can be experienced from a new, personal perspective. Through simple, accessible writing exercises, participants explore artistic, social, and aesthetic themes in a creative way, stimulating curiosity and the desire to experiment.

In the December edition, the focus is on objects whose stories reach back to the origins of human storytelling. These narratives intertwine, moving from the macro to the microcosm, allowing words to grow, transform, and take shape: as gestures, pauses, or shared moments.

It Takes Two – Video Works from the Dalle Nogare Collection: Frank Hesse – 05.12.2025

On Friday, December 5, the Antonio Dalle Nogare Foundation presents the second edition of It Takes Two, a series of video works from the private collection of Antonio Dalle Nogare, curated by Eva Brioschi.

Opening: December 5 at 7:00 PM

The title is an ironic reminder that the realization of an artwork requires not only the work of the artist but also that of the viewer. It is the viewer who completes the creative journey initiated by the artist through their own perception. In the darkness of a video room, the relationship between artist and viewer becomes even closer: like in a confessional of the mind, one surrenders to the images, loses the sense of space and time, and embraces the possibility of a multisensory transmission and an unexpected epiphany.

At each opening evening, the Foundation’s Artistic Director, Eva Brioschi, offers a moment of in-depth analysis and participatory reading of the exhibited work, in dialogue with the artist and with professionals from the art world.

The second event of It Takes Two is dedicated to Frank Hesse, an artist, designer, and yoga teacher based in Zurich, who presents a video filmed in 2006: Florence: From St. Croce to the Institute of Art History.

Following the screening, Frank Hesse will engage in a dialogue with Eva Brioschi and Nasim Weiler, project manager at Stadtkuratorin Hamburg, whose research focuses on conceptual art and performative practices, to explore the themes and processes at the foundation of this video work.

Capturing an Artistic Practice: A Research Project by Museion

Museion – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Bolzano

Museion presents an exhibition on Sven Sachsalber (1987–2020), the result of a multi-year research project carried out in collaboration with BAU – Institute for Contemporary Art and Ecology and the artist’s family, funded by the German Cultural Office of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol.

The exhibition explores Sachsalber’s career and works, known for videos, books, paintings, and poetic, subtly ironic performances. Archive materials, documents, interviews, and digitized works are organized into six thematic sections: art, body, time, books, home, friendship, offering new perspectives on his artistic thinking and practice.

One original work will be on display: Max and Moritz (2019), a series of drawings created in collaboration with Raymond Pettibon.
An interactive timeline and digital catalog allow visitors to explore over 350 digitized works and materials online.

Within the exhibition, Othmar Prenner, artist and mentor to Sachsalber, created a limited graphic edition, available at the Museion bookshop.

The exhibition and its accompanying publication offer moments of reflection and exploration, keeping Sven Sachsalber’s legacy alive while fostering new perspectives and international connections.

Brick4Ever is an event dedicated to the world of LEGO, showcasing extraordinary creations made with the iconic bricks. In addition, there will be an interactive play area where children and adults can unleash their creativity and build together.

The association "Leiferer Krippenfreunde" (Friends of Nativity Scenes) is once again organising the exhibition of handcrafted nativity scenes in the exhibition hall in via Pietralba 29. A charming nativity scene exhibition awaits you in the choir area of the pavilion. The participants of the nativity scene workshop proudly present their handcrafted creations, made with great attention to detail and bringing the Christmas story to life.
