Whether young or old, stroll with us through the Pinot Noir heaven of the wine villages of Pinzon and Glen. Learn about hidden historical treasures along the way, find out all kinds of exciting stories about wine growing in South Tyrol and enjoy local delicacies to go with a drop of our product of excellence, Pinot Noir. The trail is interactive and family-friendly and passes numerous sights such as the archaeological sites of Castelfeder, the Fleimstal railway, Castel Kaldiff or Kichelberg and runs past the magnificent waterfalls of the Schwarzenbach and Glen. Beautiful viewpoints of the entire Adige Valley and the Trudner Horn Nature Park reward hikers along the way.

From the historic centre of Neumarkt with its famous arcades, we hike along the Geigerhäuslsteig trail to the Pinot Noir heaven of Mazon. We stroll at the foot of the Trudner Horn Nature Park through magnificent vineyards and learn all kinds of exciting stories about the market town of Neumarkt, one of the most beautiful town centres in Italy, wine growing and the numerous historical treasures along the way, from Castel Kaldiff to the Romanesque St. Michael's Church. The tour is family-friendly and informative panels provide numerous insights into the area and its people. Beautiful viewpoints of the entire Adige Valley and Lake Kaltern reward hikers along the way.

Autumn days in Tramin …enjoy the golden autumn! The South Tyrolean Wine road changes into a colourful sea of vineyards and orchards. The farmers are in their heyday and the harvest gets taken in. Soon the barrels will be full, the fermentation of the popular juice from the grapes doesn’t take long to begin. Now the “Neue” new wine can be sampled, the most important moment of the year for the farmers. And celebrated it will be. How the new wine tastes – that will be found out by the people of Tramin and its guests during the traditional Autumn Days Tramin at the latest, which are always at the end of October. People of all age groups meet at the festival area that is richly decorated with lots of harvest products for a joyful festival. The “Neue” new wine and wines from Tramin get sampled; and along with this there are hearty South Tyrolean specialities. And all of the colourful shenanigans at the festival area are accompanied by the colourful and melodious performances of folk music groups. Free bus shuttle from Kaltern, St. Josef am See, Auer and Kurtatsch.

Andrian’s chestnuts from the chestnut grove of the Schlossbichl hill are roasted on open fire. Have you ever tasted South Tyrolean chestnuts? In autumn, when the chestnuts fall off the trees, they are collected and roasted by Hans’ skilled hands over open fire. The roasted chestnuts are offered hot in paper bags for take-away or to be eaten on the spot. They taste particularly delicous with a glass of must, wine or apple juice. On top of that, sweet traditional and modern chestnut specialites are served. You won’t forget these simple yet pleasurable moments – we promise!

Many times autumn in South Tyrol is considered to be golden. Colorful leaves, deep blue skies and bright sunshine distinguish this season at Caldaro. The mediterrenean ascendancies of the South make this evidently. We recommend you to deploy the last sunbeams at Kaltern and to live the great experience of the Kaltern Wine Culinarium in the historic center of the town. On Saturday 4th of October 2025 winemakers from Caldaro present a selection of their best wines and appositely culinary delicacy will be served.

"Autumn Festival at the Old Vine of Margreid" – the planting date 1601 is set in stone. Typical seasonal dishes will be served, including chestnuts, goulash with plent (cornmeal mush), spinach dumplings, Strauben (fried dough pastries), and other delicious specialties. Musical entertainment will also be provided.

Experience thundering waterfalls, impressive gorges and immerse yourself in the fascinating archaeological history of South Tyrol. There's something for every explorer here! An enjoyable evening with fine wines, delicious South Tyrolean specialties, and pleasant company. Starts at 5:00 PM. Admission: €20 (plus €5 deposit). Wine, water, and apple juice included. On october 11th the last load of grapes is brought to the Tannerhof in a tub. Once at the Tannerhof, the grapes are pressed in a historic wine press and the fresh grape must is offered to visitors for tasting.

Local Wines, Fine Delicacies, and Lively Music: In autumn, Tramin Wine Lane is all about seasonal delights and sociable gatherings. With the traditional Tramin Wine Lane, the people of Tramin celebrate the golden autumn and its treasures each year. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, visitors from near and far will once again flock to the festively decorated village lane, where all sorts of culinary delights from kitchen and cellar await tasting. Here’s how it works: After paying a €5 deposit, you’ll receive a beautiful glass bearing the Tramin coat of arms. With it, you can sample the finest wines from Tramin’s wineries at the various stands. The prices for individual wines are displayed at each stand. The celebrations of the "Wine Alleyway", in the heart of the historic centre of Termeno which is open only to pedestrians, is an appointment not to be missed: the best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.

The music bands of Eppan vitalize their audience with a diverse repertoire in the historic walls and courtyards. The visitors walk through palaces, castles and residences and experience on this simple walking route a pleasant mix of autumnal atmosphere, history and music.

Kaltern Pop is the name of Kaltern's lakeview festival, entirely dedicated to everyone who is fond of music, wine and good food. Those who haven't missed the last edition of the Kaltern Pop Festival will remember it as three truly unforgettable October days: about 30 international bands as well as solo artists have inspired and touched both local and foreign visitors with their different styles and great professionalism. Moreover, the wonderful locations as well as the Franciscan Church enriched the experience. Three long evenings characterized by thunderous applauses, nice encounters, new friends and inspiring conversations couldn't remain just a nice memory. TerrAromen - The taste of the golden Autumn take place from 26 October to 11 November and offer culinary weeks with a focus on red wine, Kurtatsch olive oil and matching autumn dishes. This event is part of the ‘Autumn Experience’ along the South Tyrolean Wine Road.
