The little church is famous for its coffered ceiling from the 16th century, which depicts a jester in a washtub. The nave has a flat roof and slit windows. The semi-circular vaulted apse contains frescoes from the 13th century, including a well-preserved fresco of Christ in the mandorla. The Church of St Johann in Taufers was built around 1220. The Romanesque church building has the shape of a Greek cross. The fully painted groined vault shows Byzantine influences, and the frescoes from the late Romanesque period are also worth seeing. The church of St Veit stands on the Tartscher Bühel hill. The Romanesque church from the 11th century houses frescoes inside, some of which are badly damaged. The entire west wall is filled with a cycle of paintings (fragments) dating from the 16th century.
