Located between Meran and Bolzano, holidays in the castle villages of Tisens and Prissian offer time for recovery, hiking and enjoyment. Surrounded by apple trees and  vineyards , Tisens and Prissian were once beloved by nobles.  The six forts and castles bear witness to this glorious past. Idyllic, located on a  sunny high plateau , and far from busy streets , Tisens and Prissian provide a peaceful atmosphere on holiday as well as enjoyment and activity on the many cycling and hiking trails. The  Tisens chestnuts (Keschtn) are renowned for their flavour and may be sampled during special seasonal wine-and-dining evenings called “Törggelen.”
