In order to improve the safety and efficiency of the road network, important work is being carried out on the Reschenpass state road, on the Lueg Bridge (Brenner motorway, Austrian side), and on the railway lines in the Puster Valley/Val Pusteria (Franzensfeste/Fortezza–Bruneck/Brunico) and Vinschgau (Merano/Meren–Mals/Malles Venosta).
