We have been baking bread and pastries by hand since 1972 at the Wörndle bakery in Kaltern. Matthias Wörndle took over the family business from his father in 2010 and has not only continued to invest in high quality, but also in growth. Now with seven outlets in Kaltern, Tramin, Auer and Bozen, the bakery chain offers a wide range of breads and sweetmeats, from traditional schüttelbrot (crispy bread) to pistachio gipfele (croissants), sandwiches and of course such all-time favourites as semmel (bread rolls), ciabatta, baguettes and krapfl (doughnuts). Four of the seven branches also have cafés, where a morning macchiato and croissant – or a lunchtime pizza and salad – taste even better!

Wörndle bakeries bake with experience, love and the very best ingredients – and, where possible, by hand, meaning that their products taste 100% good (#100BrotzentGuat).

The history of the Psenner Distillery is indelibly characterised by that of the company's founder, Ludwig Psenner, born in 1920 in the famous South Tyrolean wine village of Tramin, the place which has given its name to the world's favourite aromatic grape variety, Gewürztraminer. Ludwig Psenner's life story is one of a straightforward and sincere man who emanated a catching vigour. At an early age he threw himself into the craft of distilling, delving into the recondite processes and mysteries involved. Then at the age of 27 he founded his own distillery, installing his first bain marie still.

Guided tours
Tour are held every Monday at 10.00 and Thursday at 14.30 only in German and Wednesday at 15.00 only in Italian, the cost per person is € 12.00. The tastings are reserved to adults (age +18).
