Restaurant Künstlerstübele Oste Scuro/Finsterwirt is not simply another restaurant. It is an institution in Bressanone/Brixen and truly unique in many ways: its location in the heart of the town, the flair of a restaurant with history, the mixed clientele, exquisite cuisine and warm hospitality.
All products from the monastery’s own estates are available for tasting in the monastery cellar, including the Novacella wines, brandies, apple juice, elderflower cordial and the Novacella herbal infusions. We also offer typical Tyrolean snacks of speck (cured ham), smoked sausages (Kaminwurzen) and various cheeses with a choice of tasty South Tyrolean bread varieties. Coffee and various cakes and pastries are also available, such as apple strudel, buckwheat gateau and fruit flan.
Your host-family prepares all dishes fresh and with lots of love - in our restaurant in Vahrn we will spoil you with pizzas, appetizer dishes and pasta specialities, of course we offer you sweet temptations, homemade cakes and pies, like "Apfelstrudel".
Our kitchen conjures up successful combinations of South Tyrolean specialities, Mediterranean and international dishes. An extensive choice of first-rate wines and our attentive service ensure that our restaurant leaves nothing to be desired.
We serve a combination of regional specialties and Mediterranean cuisine complemented by fine wines from the Isarco Valley. Special group menus (55 seats) are available on request. Our pizzeria, the first of its kind in Bressanone since 1968, is open 6pm to 11pm. Closed on mondays.

Our guesthouse opened in 1969 and was named after this grape variety. As pioneers of the variety, our father and grandfather planted it on the slopes of Kranebitt and Neustift. Since then it has become one of the most highly valued wines in the Eisack Valley.
