Active holiday in Val Pusteria. A particularly enjoyable way to spend your summer holiday in Kiens is through sports: activities range from hiking, running, Nordic-Walking, rafting to biking! Starting from the center in Kiens, via the Roman Road to Ehrenburg, past the archeological site “Roman Rock” and further on to the cycling path. Continue left along the cycling path to Ilstern. From there return to the starting point.

From the parking lot of the Hirzer cable car station in Saltaus, the way leads down to the Passer causeway and continues to the Torgglerhof Apple Hotel. From there, the trail alongside the old irrigation channel leads up to Schenna – or, after the Waaler hut, in the direction of Riffian and Meran. After about 1.5 hours you reach Meran, from where you can easily take the bus back to Saltaus. Total length: 10 km
The running course in the valley area starts at the Ratschings valley station. From there you run the varied trail to Flading at the end of the Ratschingstal valley. Then you follow the same path back to the starting point.
The trail is ideally suited for Fartlek training as there are hardly any unevennesses in the ground.

Running on the Brandis-Waalweg trail. A cozy and level walking and running path. The irrigation channel starts at the Gampenstreet, branching off from the sidewalk to the left (towards Lana Gampenpass), and leads to the monastery Lanegg and St. Margaret Church over to the waterfall above the golf course.
The round of the Reschensee is a special experience for hikers and runners. The wonderful views of the Ortler is unique. The tower in the lake completes the picture. He is the last witness of the sunken village of Graun which can live the story.

From the mountain station of the funicular railway at 2,103 m altitude we run first westward to the Resciesa summit cross. There we take a little time to enjoy the breathtaking panorama and to cast a look into the neighbouring Val di Funes. After that we take paths no. 10, 31 and 35 toward the Brogles Saddle, whereas we stay approximately at the same elevation, making this run a real pleasure. Arriving at the Brogles Saddle we can either run back the same way to the funicular, or we turn right onto path n. 5, which leads into the path no. 9 through Val d’Anna and finally brings us back to Ortisei. Just before we reach the village we come to a Kneipp facility in Val d’Anna, where we can cool our legs.
From the center in St. Magdalena (Sport Schatzer) leads the running track till Oberhof. Than ahead on the panoramic trail till the biotope and downwards past the Gsoihof to the inn Bruggmüllerhof. From there along the forest road to Lippmös and back to the nearby point of departure.
2 lakes panoramic tour through the forest with short departure and descents. On wet days trail running shoes are advantageous because the roots and stones may represent small obstacles.
Beautiful trail which winds its way across the upper part of the Castelvecchio forest exclusively on forest tracks and roads. The wood offers plenty of shade which is why this trail is especially ideal during summer. Drinking fountain at the highest point of the trail.

The Valley Trail to Pfunders is a challenging route, perfect for experienced runners. With its varied, mostly well-maintained paths and breathtaking natural scenery, this trail offers a unique experience – ideal for those seeking a physical challenge while enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
This 10.3-kilometer route starts in Lavazè, following the signs on gently sloping forest roads towards the north. The trail continues through protected woodlands in the direction of the Guggenbichl hill, along the Rio Nero stream. Passing by the beautifully located Malga Ora cabin, the last stretch of the route leads back to the starting point, on the same level as the Base Line (B).
From the “Mar Dolomit” swimming pool in Ortisei we run along the stream into the valley and follow the no. 18 path, which leads us over the path no. 30B until just under Monte Pana, past the notable Tervela Waterfall. At the base station of the chair lift we turn right to Ruacia, take the Ruacia road uphill to the roundabout in the centre of S. Cristina and from there up the Cisles road until we turn left over the old railway back to Ortisei. Longer Variant: We run along path no. 18, which takes us through the wild romantic Jender Valley towards Saltria and over the path no. 30A to the Monte Pana high plateau.
