Start from the tourist information office in Welsberg. Along the Via Stazione to the Rienzbrücke bridge, turn left and continue along the Pustertal Valley bike path towards Bruneck. The route continues past the Wasserfeld sewage treatment plant and the Rienzau biotope to the Olang reservoir. It continues along the shore to the dam wall. Once you reach the dam wall, you return to Welsberg along the same route. The trail is perfect for beginners and offers alternating shade and sun even on hot days.
