Running trail: The big Castle round in Welsberg

Start at Tourist information office in Welsberg and run through the village center until just before the gas station. Cross the bridge over the Pidigbach river and then turn right along the Pidigbach river in the valley heading east towards the Gsiesertal Valley. Cross the small wooden bridge at the aqueduct, go slightly uphill, and then turn right, gently ascending along the meadow path, passing by Welsperg Castle and the Welsberg school center, until you return to the starting point. The route is marked as the large castle round (Große Schlossrunde). The route is partly sunny but lies partly also in the shadows of the woods, making it pleasantly cool, especially in the evening or early morning hours. The route can also be done in the opposite direction.
