Holidays in Prad am Stilfserjoch/Prato allo Stelvio

A world of its own for Alpinists and nature lovers

The transition from steep mountainsides to a wide valley featuring fruit and vegetable gardens make for   a spectacular holiday in Prad am Stilfserjoch. The bustling village stretches from the foot of the Stilfserjoch National Park at 900 m to the Lichtenberger Höfe farms at 1,500 m. Prad’s location in the Vinschgau valley makes it an  ideal starting point  for some of the most challenging hikes throughout the Alpine region. For strolls and easy tours, try the Prader Sand biotope reserve, a unique river delta and  protected bird sanctuary with its arid land and pine forest.
