Running races in South Tyrol

The International New Year’s Eve Run BOclassic starts and ends directly at the Bolzano Christmas Market on the Walther Square. The event is an institution - since 1974 the year has been brought to a sporty end in Bolzano. Runners from all over the world meet in the provincial capital on December 31 to compete in the Raiffeisen BOclassic South Tyrol, which starts and ends at the central Walther Square. It is the last day of the year, when in the afternoon the athletes first run through the Bolzano Christmas Market, cross the old town with Piazza delle Erbe and Via dei Portici, reach the Piazza della Stazione and then - after exactly 1,250 metres - can be seen again at Piazza Walther. This is repeated eight times for the male top athletes of the BOclassic Elite, and four times for the female participants. The other four categories do fewer laps: the Just for Fun event for everyone, the 5 km long Ladurner Run, the Raiffeisen Youth Cup and the Handbike Show Run. Years ago, a starting fee had to be paid, today, the elite runners arrive exclusively on invitation. The BOclassic is the annual start of the South Tyrol Top 7 running series, which also includes the Caldaro Lake Run and the Lake Resia Run.

Moonlight Classic - cross country race by night Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is a cross-country-skiing race on the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi / South Tyrol / Italy. The distances are 15 and 30 km,the classic diagonal style only is allowed. We promote young talents, support us! For every registration, the Moonlight Classic organisation committee donates one Euro, which will be doubled by a sponsor, to the South Tyrolean Sports Aid in order to support the young athlethes.

On 05. april 2025 it's that time again: The Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun opens the Naturno trailrun season: The Sonnenberg mountain of the Texel Group Nature Park offers perfect conditions! The 15-kilometre "Skyrace Naturno" has a good 1,100 meters of altitude to overcome. The second run, the "Sunny Mountain Trail" - is a proud 30 kilometers with a challenging 2,100 meters of altitude! On 27 June 2025, the legendary Stelvio road will be closed to motorised traffic for the first half of the night and will be completely open to cyclists and pedestrians. The last seven kilometres of the 'Berghotel Franzenshöhe' before the summit will be magically illuminated by indirect lighting to show participants the way to the 2,757-metre peak. Experience the second edition of 'Challenge your menu' and enjoy regional specialities at five different catering points along the route from Trafoi to the summit of the pass. Whether on foot, by (E-)bike or other non-motorised means of transport; everyone is invited to take an enjoyable journey along the Stelvio Pass road at night on June 27, 2025 EXPERIENCE A MAGICAL MOMENT AND A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!
