Sledging in the Upper Venosta Valley, has a long tradition especially in Watles and is one of the most popular recreational sports for families and enthusiasts. The 4km-long Watles natural tobogganing route of the winter sport area is one of the most beautiful runs in the South Tyrol, which can be reached by chairlift. Active holidaymakers can also reach it by foot in approximately 1.5 hours. There are several family-friendly resting places at the valley and mountain station.

The Rosskopf sledging track at Sterzing / Vipiteno is the longest floodlit and artificial snow covered tobbogan sledging track in Italy. The toboggan run leads through an impressive forest landscape, covering over 900 meters in elevation. It starts right by the Rosskopf cable car mountain station and runs for nearly 10 km round many twists and turns down to the valley station in Vipiteno/Sterzing.

Sleds can be rented directly and easily at the Outdoor Center - no reservation is necessary.
Please note: Helmets are mandatory for children! In addition, sturdy footwear is essential for a safe sledding experience!

Why not join a night-time sledging party on Friday evenings for a special experience on Sterzings local mountain. On these evenings the sledging trail is floodlit until midnight (cable car runs until 10 pm).

Easy natural toboggan-run in Ackerboden/St. Leonhard, 2,5 km. The hut Ackerboden is open from 26/12 daily. Day off Monday & Tuesday.

The snow parksnow&fun tamarix in Selva dei Molini/Mühlwald South Tyrol: the ideal playground for a varied winter afternoon. Fun on snow for the whole family.

At the Family Funpark at the Speikboden Ski Area, the adventure park for kids in the valley station, the little ones will have a lot of fun! Whether skiing, tobogganing, or a speedy ride on the bobsleigh - the easy slope offers plenty of space to romp around! The two conveyor belts Leni and Toni take care of the ascent. The park consists of:

• a conveyor belt 120m long
• a conveyor belt 70m long
• a big castle in which there is a playground with slides, tunnels and much more
• slopes for sleds and bobs
• snowpark with easy elements (waves, curves, tunnels)
• and of course an easy ski slope for beginners

Tobogganing-fun for the whole family in Kasern/Casere at the sunny end of the valley - Short toboggan run with conveyor system "magic carpet" especially for kids, near the car park Kasern/Casere. Possible also Snowtubing! 

The toboggan run starts directly from the Gampenalm hut (opening time from 26th december) above the snow-covered meadows till the turning on your right site. From there the toboggan run continues to the Kirchwiesl and ahead till the starting point, Zans.

The Speikboden ski area is a place with great variety – above all else when it comes to what is available in the way of activities. It is not just skiing and snowboarding that are the order of the day, but also sledding, a winter sport with a huge fun factor that is very popular especially with families and children. In this ski area, there are two sled runs at once, one of which can boast the distinction of being the longest sled run in all South Tyrol-Südtirol. The starting point of both sled runs is located at the mountain terminal which can be reached without any problems with the Speikboden cable car.

With a length of 10 km (6.2 miles), sledders leisurely head down a very well-groomed sled run – which can even be covered with man-made snow, if necessary – all the way to Lutago-Luttach. The second sled run, which is just as wide with a total length of 8 km (5 miles) has the same starting point, but after a couple of miles it turns off toward Rio Bianco-Weißenbach. From either of the destinations, sledders can be picked up again by the ski bus or public bus and taken back to the valley terminal to head up again. 
Also particularly popular is the weekly Rodelgaudisledding party, a sledding event that is open to everyone.

The toboggan run from Tschantschenon starts in the middle of the wintry and snow-covered wood at 1800 meter and leads over a flat track with just a few curves to Zanser Schwaige (opening times from 25th december). A wonderful excursion.

There is also a perfectly groomed sled run, which leads across a gorgeous larch meadow, for children and families on the Leadner Alm Mountain Hut above Vöran. The run is easy to reach by car in winter, and there are places to eat in the immediate vicinity.

No funicular and no rental.

Drive in sledge to the Alps of Villanders  is an one time experience....

Experience the unique thrill of tobogganing on the ice start track in Meransen! Located right next to the Tennishalle, this special track allows you to sled on the same course where international competitions take place. With a bit of luck, you might even meet sports stars like Zöggeler and Rieder. Use of the track is by request only– just call +39 338 15 88 135 to arrange.

Pfasch Ski CenterSkiing at the foot of the Stelvio National ParkSkiing, coasting and snowboarding at the foot of the Stelvio National Parc.  Anyone who needs a bit more practice for the larger slopes in the Venosta Valley skiing area or who would like to teach their little ones how to ski, will find a great ski slope with a special atmosphere in Prato/Prad. In the shadow of the romanesque St. Johann church, the small "Pfasch ski center" can be found with a magic carpet, a 300 m long training slope and an igloo to warm up.

Check out Italy's first summer toboggan run! The bobs are securely mounted on a 1.750 m long aluminium pipe. Slide downhill to the valley and have as much fun as the children, since a journey on a Fun Bob is a special kind of experience for adults. You can even regulate the speed by yourself!

The the toboggan run to the Brunst hut is especially interesting because of the appropriate length of 5,9 km. The natural track is perfectly groomed. You start by walking from the car park above the Lipper saw in Valdaora di Sopra over the prepared forest road towards Brunst hut.
You can rent at Sport Sagmeister  and rent and go.
The Brunst hut is not managed during winter time. The hut offers a little room where you can enjoy your break.

Fantiland offers two conveyor bands and corresponding slopes. Those are perfect requirements for the first ski lessons. Furthermore kids have a lot of fun with sledging.

The village Spiluck above Brixen is known for its numerous hiking trails and lonely peaks especially in Summer. In Winter you find Spiluck as a cozy place for a trip in the snow. Spiluck offers snowy forests with beautiful mountain scenery. Whether by toboggan or on foot, the toboggan run in Spiluck guarantees a great day out. Especially in the early morning the sun shines through the forest and until midday it warms not only the body but also the mind.

This idyllic winter hike starts at the hikers' parking lot at the end of Spiluck Street. From the parking lot above the Gostnerhof Inn, you start along trail no. 2 through the forest. You will immediately notice that the winter hiking trail is also wonderfully suitable for a toboggan run due to its perfectly maintained condition. Again and again you catch fantastic views of the Plose, the Geisler peaks and even the Langkofel and Plattkofel peaks. After about one and a half to two hours you reach the end of the trail below the Scheibenberg mountain, where the peak of the Karspitz towers above the woods in its white dress.

After a well-deserved break with your own snack, you can look forward to an exciting but above all rewarding descent on the toboggan. Always leisurely downhill, but also with faster sections, nothing stands in the way of fun on the toboggan. Of course, you can also walk back to the starting point. Directly at the parking lot, the Gostnerhof Inn invites you to stop and reward yourself with a hot tea, a typical “Marende” or lunch. There are other places to stop in the village center of Spiluck.

The Pertinger Alm toboggan run descends from the Obere Pertinger Alm to the parking area above Nunewieser, offering tobogganing fun for all winter enthusiasts. The ascent takes about 60 minutes along Trail No. 5, leading you through a charming winter landscape. During the Christmas season, the Alm is open daily; afterward, it is open on weekends only.

If you don’t have your own toboggan, you can rent one at the Market/Rental Engl in the village.

The new 750 m long toboggan run Absam starts from the Epircher Laner hut and goes to the valley station of the Absam-Maierl lift.

The Allriss toboggan run is located at the end of the beautiful Pflerschtal valley and stretches over 3.1 km from the hut Allriss Alm down to the parking lot above St. Anton. With its gentle slope, it is especially suitable for families with children, as it is not very challenging. You will need to bring your own toboggan, but a stop at the cozy hut Allriss Alm invites you to take a break after the one-hour climb and enjoy local and traditional delicacies. Perfect for a fun day in the heart of nature!

The toboggan run in the Talai Forest in St. Valentin offers an unforgettable winter experience for the whole family. The Toboggan run (3 km) starting from the mountain station of the new funicular Resciesa in Ortisei offers a great experience for the whole family. As there is an intermediate station, it is possible to enjoy the run several times in row. Alternatively you can reach the Resciesa hut within a thirty minute walk starting from the mountain station. From there, you can sledge along the slope and you will connect then to the toboggan run.
All those who don't have a sledge can rent one at the valley station of the funicular.

The longest sledge run on the Seiser Alm needs stamina and skill, but offers you masses of fun.

The toboggan run starts directly from the Geisleralm hut (opening time from 26th december) and is identical to the path of ascension till the turning to Zans. From here the sleigh ride leads left through the woods down to the car park Waldschenke. The first piece of the toboggan run is steep and followed by a brisk track with just a few curves.

The toboggan run from Hofer Alpl down to Ums is perfect for families: it offers lasting sledding fun on a gentle, easy-going slope.

With a total of 40.5 kilometers of groomed ski slopes, this ski area offers a remarkable diversity that appeals to both skiers and snowboarders alike. For those seeking the unique pleasure of tobogganing, the 13.5 kilometers of toboggan runs are a true delight. Whether in sunshine or under a starry sky, the tobogganing experience here is unparalleled.

As you glide down the slopes or toboggan, you will be accompanied by a breathtaking panoramic view of the Ahrntal mountains. It's as if the majestic nature itself applauds every turn you make. This scenery, combined with perfectly groomed slopes, makes Klausberg an unforgettable experience.

Snow-sure? At Klausberg, it's no issue! Thanks to its privileged location, the slopes remain snow-covered and in optimal condition well into the spring. This means you can enjoy an extended season here and relish the snow to the fullest.

If you're looking for a special experience, don't miss the new Sonnen cable car. In addition to a comfortable ride, it provides access to some of the most breathtaking slopes of Klausberg. Every turn, every curve here becomes an unforgettable adventure.

From the peak station of the Cianross cable car at 1302 m, the Cianross sledging track winds down through the forest alongside the skiing slope all the way to the valley station at 1203 m. The 680 m track (99 m of difference in altitude) can be used during the Cianross cable car opening hours with ski passes and single or prepaid tickets with point systems. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the track will also be open between 8 and 10 pm and illuminated with floodlights. Sledges can be rented at the Cianross cable car valley station.

 

 

The Moscha toboggan run is open daily, perfectly groomed and well secured, so that families with children can safely toboggan through the forest.
