Whether it's a day trip with the whole family or moonlight sledding at a late hour: after a rest in an alpine hut, the descent through the winter forest is always a pleasure. Well-prepared and secured sled runs offer fun for young and old. Safety should always come first: Ski goggles, sturdy shoes with a distinctive profile and a helmet are recommended for children and adults alike. If you go out at night, you should always have a flashlight with you. Wearing a protective helmet is compulsory for minors.

Description: behind the Gampen lift starts the toboggan track with a length of 450 m.
The Toboggan run (3 km) starting from the mountain station of the new funicular Resciesa in Ortisei offers a great experience for the whole family. As there is an intermediate station, it is possible to enjoy the run several times in row. Alternatively you can reach the Resciesa hut within a thirty minute walk starting from the mountain station. From there, you can sledge along the slope and you will connect then to the toboggan run.
All those who don't have a sledge can rent one at the valley station of the funicular.
The toboggan run starts at 1900 meters and leads along a 5-km-long run of medium difficulty back to the starting point. The descent is identical to the path of ascension and consists of fantastic curves. An ideal winter excursion for the whole family. Note: You can shorten the ascent by taking the bus from Ranui to Zans and then hiking along the footpath to the hut Glatsch Alm.

A new highlight on the local mountain of Sterzing / Vipiteno! Starting from the mountain station of the panoramalift at 2,120 meters above sea level, a mountain coaster is being installed on the Rosskopf. The course leads over a length of 1,300 m over a height difference of nearly 300 meters to the valley station of the panoramalift. Sounds like heaps of fun? It definitely will be, because with a gradient of 20% on average and a maximum of 56%, speeds of up to 40 km/h can be reached. That means spectacular fun for the young and old, amidst the breath-taking mountain panorama.
At the Family-Funpark at the Speikboden Ski Area, the adventure park for kids in the valley station, the little ones will have a lot of fun!

The "Reinswalder Wiesn" toboggan run is an experience not to be missed. The run starts at 2,130, above sea level at the Pichlberg Alpine bar/restaurant and winds its way down past hillsides deep in snow to the welcoming Sunnolm restaurant (www.sunnolm.it) at the cable railway base station.
The Moscha toboggan run is open daily, perfectly groomed and well secured, so that families with children can safely toboggan through the forest.
The 6.5 km sleigh run is an inviting temptation for exciting group descents through the snowy woods. The start of the sleigh run is just below the upper ski lift station running down to the valley station. For those in search of absolute winter tranquillity, there’s the trail leading to the Allriss mountain pasture amidst a pristine landscape in the Upper Isarco Valley.
Sledging in the Upper Venosta Valley, has a long tradition especially in Watles and is one of the most popular recreational sports for families and enthusiasts. The 4km-long Watles natural tobogganing route of the winter sport area is one of the most beautiful runs in the South Tyrol, which can be reached by chairlift. Active holidaymakers can also reach it by foot in approximately 1.5 hours. There are several family-friendly resting places at the valley and mountain station.

The 5 km long Rotwand sledging trail in the Sexten Dolomites can be easily reached via the 6-person Rotwandwiesen cable car. The start is right beside the mountain station of the lift. From there, you go through woods and fields back down to the valley station.

The Puflatsch Run on the Seiser Alm is best suited for those who want to enjoy a challenging run and a breathtaking panorama.
In Compatsch (opposite the church) there is a small toboggan park that can be used as a toboggan run and sliding hill. Patrick Lambacher, former tobogganing world champion from Villnöss, offers free tobogganing courses three times a week, where those interested can get tips and tricks for learning the right braking and riding technique.
The toboggan park can be used freely by everyone outside of the “course times”. It is therefore accessible at all times!

The toboggan run starts directly from the Geisleralm hut (opening time from 26th december) and is identical to the path of ascension till the turning to Zans. From here the sleigh ride leads left through the woods down to the car park Waldschenke. The first piece of the toboggan run is steep and followed by a brisk track with just a few curves.
Enjoy the view of the snowy winter landscape and the nearby mountains as you ascend by cable car. Stop for refreshments at a cosy mountain tavern before racing down into the valley.

The toboggan run starts just below the Kaserillalm hut (opening times from 26th december) and leads over a steep slope to the snow-covered Kirchwiesl. From there the toboggan continues over a plain to the starting point Zans.
The toboggan run from Tschantschenon starts in the middle of the wintry and snow-covered wood at 1800 meter and leads over a flat track with just a few curves to Zanser Schwaige (opening times from 25th december). A wonderful excursion.
The toboggan run starts shortly after the car park at Zans toward Ranui. The run is pretentious and the safety is therefore is very important and should not be underestimated.
