10 years Christmas village Ortisei The picturesque capital of the Val Gardena, has been enchanting its visitors during the Christmas season since 2014. It has become a beautiful tradition: Ortisei's pedestrian area transforms into a true fairy-tale landscape adorned with Christmas decorations that captivate visitors of all ages. Along the pedestrian zone, typical wooden huts welcome visitors. In an impressive manner, the Christmas village Ortisei combines the deeply rooted traditions of the Val Gardena with the elegance and exclusivity of the offerings of the hut operators. The festive atmosphere is accompanied by the Christmas tunes of local musicians, spreading joy and serenity in the air. Visitors can stroll through the Christmas village, admire local craftsmanship, discover regional delicacies, and find original gift items among the Christmas huts. The Christmas village is an experience that engages all the senses and offers moments of joy and sharing in an enchanting environment. It is a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the tradition and culture of the mountains and fully experience the spirit of Christmas in a magical atmosphere. Selva Val Gardena is getting ready for a very special Christmas. The idyllic village of Selva, in the heart of the Dolomites, at the foot of the majestic Sella mountain group, is, at 1550 metres above sea level, the highest town in Val Gardena. With its direct connection to the legendary ski tour 'Sella Ronda', it offers 500km of perfectly prepared slopes for every ski lover. Strolling through the village you can stop to try a steaming hot mug of mulled wine or warm mulled apple drink, and you can easily find the perfect Christmas gift such as sweet scented pine pillows, cosy mountain slippers, warm woolly socks, wooden nativity scenes, and many other items to decorate your mountain Christmas. Thousands of twinkling lights infused with sweet Christmas melodies will be sure to light up the hearts of young and old alike. The Christmas market is open from December 7th to December 10th, from December 15th to December 17th, and from December 22nd to January 6th, daily from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. It is closed from December 11th to December 14th and from December 17th to December 22nd.

The beautiful historic center of Castelrotto once again provides the backdrop for the many small stalls that offer gifts, handicrafts, nativity figures, South Tyrolean products, herbs, candles and much more for sale to visitors. With mulled wine and fragrant cookies, homemade "Kastelruther Krapfen" visitors can listen to the Christmas music, escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle and experience a few contemplative moments. This year we will pass the time with handicrafts and games for our little visitors, while the adults can comfortably taste a fragrant mulled wine. Wise brass instruments, alphorn players, choirs and singers will round off the Christmas program.

The lovely local crafts, the warming mulled wine, the tasty treats and, above all, the very special music programme give us a pleasant feeling of togetherness.
