There are no secrets as to how we come up with our culinary creations, we simply have a clear approach to what makes good food: The use of local, natural, biological products that are fresh and seasonal. Artificial seasonings, additives and processed food are off-limits. We believe that this is the first requirement for an excellent meal. This alone however is clearly not enough. Imagination and creativity are also required- but above all we rely on our chefs special culinary skills and talent. All of this is combined with great hospitality and excellent service. Part of South Tyrolean culture is South Tyrolean warmth; treating our guests comes naturally to us. Nothing has to be forced, as we gain pleasure by satisfying our guests. The court Obermair Ehrenburg in Kiens, The first written mention of Obermair goes back to 1318 and is thus one of the oldest farms in the area. Initially belonged to the court of the Count Goertz, then the estate was frequently sold, inherited and sold again. Since 1860, guests at the inn run Obermair and already in 1900 the Obermairhof of Falkensteiner family has farmed. As you can see our kitchen pot is filled to the brim ... combined, refined dishes with an occasional touch of the exotic. Just the "magic of the diversity of South Tyrol".

At the Jochele Hotel & Restaurant, hotel guests and locals, fans of speck platters and gourmets all feast together side by side and completely at ease. Chef Horst and his team treat fans of South Tyrolean cuisine to typical specialities and international creations. At lunchtime and dinner time, the menu includes a tempting selection of favourite South Tyrolean dishes: home made Schlutzkrapfen, cheese and bacon dumplings with coleslaw, aromatic herb dumplings and Kaiserschmarrn pancakes. The ancient inn: The Traube is documented as an inn in texts dating from the 17th century. The Niedermair family, who runs the hotel, has owned the ancient building for the last hundred years. Every evening our chef prepares a royal dinner for our guests who make their own choice of five courses with salad buffet, alternating between a gala dinner and Tyrolean specialities. Our chef and restaurant staff all do their best to provide a perfect service for our guests. In the morning we offer you a healthy breakfast with a choice of fresh bread, tea corner and free range eggs from local farmers. A selection of excellent wines will accompany you through the evening and to finish a delicious meal there is nothing like a sip of our top quality Schnapps.
