Our family-run restaurant offers you specialities of the South Tyrolean cuisine. We are known for our roast mutton, our Kaiserschmarren and our homemade cakes. You can reach us from Dorf Tirol starting from the restaurant Tiroler Kreuz following the forest road; from Kuens following the irrigation channel path Kuenser Waalweg; along the Merano high altitude route (Meraner Höhenweg).

Our establishment, which is ten minutes above the famous Tappeinerweg trail surrounded by vineyards, is the perfect destination for visitors looking for peace and relaxation. A playground is available for your children. Treat yourself to a drop of home-made wine, or a Marende, a traditional snack of cold meat, cheese and bread on a wooden board, and more. The Sandgruberhof is located in the pedestrian zone leading to Tyrol Castle, around 10 minutes on foot from the center of the village. The historic structure of the Sandgruberhof has been fundamentally preserved to the present day. It is easy to forget time and space in the centuries-old vaulted cellar, in the garden with its spectacular views and whilst enjoying the lovingly prepared dishes and delicacies.
