Today we get out in nature! On our exciting voyage of exploration we visit the fruit tree meadow at the Koasa Hof in St. Johann. Delicious fruits such as apples, pears and plums grow there and we’ll discover how to make jam, juice and apple rings from them. Maybe we’ll even get to taste some ourselves! As well as fruit trees, there are also some small animals on the farm – for example chickens and rabbits. Together we’ll find out how to harvest and process fruit and how important nature is for our food. So pack your rucksack and bring a good mood with you – and let’s have a fruity adventure!

Experience Villabassa's history up close on a guided field name hike! Discover the significance of old field names that once shaped paths and places on an easy hike. Our hike takes you along an idyllic route where you can immerse yourself in the stories and legends of special names. Participation is free, but prior registration is required. Today you have the opportunity to get to know a working farm with all its animals and make your own farm products such as butter and cheese. Tasting the homemade products is just as important as telling stories about the farm. Cost per person: 15,00 €

Activities with the ambassadors of the Ladin tradition. An experience that plunges us into an ancient world that has been kept alive by people who love their land and care for it with tenacity and dedication beyond imagination. You will not only see the farmers at work, but also help take the animals out of the stable and cut the grass with a scythe while listening to the old stories of the farm. Finally, on this historic mountain farm in Badia, you can have lunch the old-fashioned way with historical Ladin recipes prepared on the spot. Delicious! "I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby..." Letter of Freud to Jung (February 1911). And how did this link between the ideal place for Bolzano residents to go for a bit of 'Sommerfrische', or summer cool, and the genius tourist Sigmund Freud come about? In a letter dating February 1911, he reveals to Carl Gustav Jung «Next summer. I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby». So, before Easter, on Friday, the 14th of April, he leaves Vienna in the company of his friend and pupil Sandor Ferenczi and makes a quick tour lasting just six days to find a suitable place around Trento and Bolzano. He returns to Vienna the following Thursday and his research produces excellent results in the form of Ritten/Renon near Bolzano. Consequently, on the 9th of July, Freud sets off from Karlsbad, where he was staying to recover from a bout of 'American colitis', and joins his family at Klobenstein. This is where the Freuds celebrate their silver wedding anniversary, on 14th September - the enjoyment of their holiday thus being enhanced by love and affection. Minimum of participants: 6, max 12 persons. At the Ansitz Waldgries Manor, in the middle of the famous wine-growing area of S. Maddalena, viticulture has a long tradition. Waldgries was first mentioned in a document in 1242. Today Christian Plattner leads the wine estate with enthusiasm and success in the 3rd generation and gives his wines a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Unique is the wine path "Zeit in Waldgries", where the visitor learns a lot of interesting facts about the winery and the daily work. At the end of the artistically designed path, the visitor is rewarded with a magnificent view of the city of Bolzano and the surrounding castles.

The Lammweg in Girlan entices visitors with sparkling wine, wine and distillates. Sektmanufaktur Winkler, Kellerei K. Martini & Sohn and Hofbrennerei St. Urban serve a selection of their labels while the sun slowly sets. The relaxed atmosphere is rounded off with small delicacies and cool beats. We start at the Haslhof farm above Göflan and hike on leisurely paths through meadows and forests, past the coal fields to the Göflaner Alm, where we stop for a bite to eat. Covelano marble is quarried above this mountain pasture. We then descend to the village of Tarnell above Laas. The bus picks us up again there. The famous Lasa marble, which comes from the same mountain as the Covelano marble, is processed in Lasa. Discover their daily work up close by visiting a fire station, where you can observe emergency vehicles, state-of-the-art equipment, and the strategies used to ensure the safety of the community. Through stories from the members of the San Cassiano fire brigade, you will learn about their activities throughout the year and the challenges firefighters face every day, from rescue operations to fire-fighting and civil protection interventions (in Italian language). A unique experience for both young and old, focused on discovery and respect for these modern heroes! On the tracks of the biathlon elite: Come and experience the excitement of this large sports venue that has already hosted numerous international competitions. Take a closer look at the technical and functional rooms, the entire administration building and the spectator stands in more detail. We tell you exciting stories and give you interesting facts about the Südtirol Arena and not to be missed: we will also take a look at Antholz 2026. A film about biathlon rounds off your knowledge of the sport. Finally you can feel like an elite Biathlete and try out biathlon shooting: put your marksmanship to the test with five shots. Guided tours of the biathlon stadium including biathlon shooting at realistic small-bore conditions are scheduled twice a week from June to October in German and Italian language. The work of the bees Frida is a reserved and polite lady who recounts with transport the exploits of these industrious yellow-and-black striped winged insects. She manages to convey her knowledge about the world of bees and all her regard for them. And she talks about the benefits that people can derive from bees. Juval Castle Tour (39 km, 700 m elevation gain) The impressive Juval Castle Tour stretches over 39 kilometers and 700 meters of elevation gain, offering not only physical activity but also cultural and culinary highlights. The starting point is Algund. An experienced bike guide first leads us through a panoramic landscape to Töll. The route then continues along the Apple Road through blossoming orchards to Naturns and further towards Staben. Already during the ride, we enjoy a magnificent view up to the Juval Caslte, the famous castle of Reinhold Messner, which today houses a fascinating collection of Tibetan art and mountaineering history. We follow the bike path until the resting place (just before Staben) and then turn right at the wooden bridge towards the State Road and the Vinschgau Farmers' Store. After crossing the State Road, we need to pedal a bit more. However, with some stamina, we finally reach The Juval Castle, our destination for the day. Here, we will visit the castle and then take a delightful lunch break at a nearby inn. Rejuvenated, we begin the return journey to the starting point, Algund. The varied landscape and cultural attractions make this bike tour an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts who wish to actively explore the beauty of South Tyrol. This tour is ideal for experienced cyclists with a good basic level of fitness.

An unforgettable experience awaits visitors to the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park: stargazing in the quiet of the Spiaggetta Ciamaor, with telescopes brought by the owner and director of the Verona Planetarium. A variety of medicinal plants, wild, flowering and aromatic herbs thrive in the mountain herb garden at the "Wiesenhof" in Pawigl. During a guided tour of the show garden, you will learn how they are used and what effect they have on the human body. In addition to medicinal teas, tinctures and ointments, these valuable natural resources can be used to make tasty wild herb delicacies, which you can enjoy with the group after the tour. Lukas became a volunteer at the age of thirteen and has never stopped helping those in need in the valley. During this visit you will learn what volunteering in the mountains is all about and you will soon realize that these helpful people have a big heart. ONLY IN GERMAN OR ITALIAN Niedereben Farm is situated at an altitude of 634 metres on Nörderberg mountain. Benefiting from the advantageous climate, olives, grapes and cacti all flourish here. The Hofer family supplies the local organic specialist retailer (Biokistl) with its fruit and vegetables and sells a variety of home produced, typical South Tyrolean organic products in their own farm shop. Cows, pigs, quails, ducks, geese and chickens all feel like “pigs in clover” on the farm! This introduction to the long history of the farm gives visitors an insight into livestock husbandry and wine growing on the Vinschgau’s Nörderberg mountain and shows the route taken from the first olives to the production of the farm’s own olive oil. The following products are available to buy directly from the farm shop: speck (bacon), salami, smoked sausages, cooked herb-crusted ham, Coppa ham, farmer’s speck, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and in the autumn months chestnuts and pumpkins, apple juice and Vernatsch wine.
