For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 4th and Friday 5th 2025, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

Guided tour of the Terlan's wine path. You will hear (only in German language) about the history of winegrowing, the vineyard plots, the varieties, the vine-training systems, and the estates and mansions you will encounter on the path. Exploring Bolzano: a cultural journey with Speck tasting. A unique culinary experience to discover the historic center of Bolzano and South Tyrol’s Speck g.g.A., one of the region’s most renowned quality products. The Speck Safari is offered in collaboration with the South Tyrol Speck Consortium and provides a dual experience: First, a city guide takes the group through the old town of Bolzano, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the city’s history. Afterward, the participants meet with the Speck Ambassador, who introduces them to the world of South Tyrolean Speck. The ambassador explains the history, production methods, and quality guidelines of the famous Speck. Experience the fascination of Castle Karneid up close! Although the castle is privately owned, you have the opportunity to visit it on certain dates as part of an expert guided tour. Immerse yourself in the medieval history of South Tyrol and discover impressive architecture and exciting insights into times gone by. Everything here revolves around nature! Together we explore the animal and plant world of the nature park, play and craft with natural and recycled materials, turn wild herbs into delicious treats, and gradually get to know the nature around us step by step. In a full-day tour you will hike with one of our professional guides through our vineyards from 900 m up to 220 m and taste 12 wines of our TERROIR line in their respective locations. At the typical morning snack, the so-called "Holbmittog", and the 3-course lunch in one of the top restaurants in Kurtatsch you can enjoy culinary specialties.

The plum of Barbiano/Barbian is in the center of this guided walking-tour. Enjoy the unforgettable hike at the bright side of Barbian while we guide you through the plum trees. Meeting point at 10 a.m. at the Information Office Barbian. Hiking time: 3,5 hours, return at approx. 4 p.m., easy-medium hike. Good footwear and rain shelter are needed. Route: Hike along the Plum Path trail and continue to Kollmann, stopping at the "Oberweger". Return to Barbian. We start in Reinswald in Sarntal and hike uphill to the Pfnatschalm, where we stop for lunch and take in the beautiful panorama. We continue to the Getrumalm, where we pass various adventure stations of the Sarner Latsche, the alpine farm and the Knappenlöchern. From the Getrumalm we hike slowly downhill to Reinswald. Knödel are not just dumplings, they are the ultimate South Tyrolean dish and no one knows this better than Franzi. At the Lechnerhof she creates them with the guests and shows them what must be included in the traditional food and dispels many culinary legends. Spinach, cheese, beetroot - different types of dumplings are prepared and, of course, tasted together. And the recipes? You can take them with you to become the king of the kitchen back home.

The Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park also has a heart, and that is called Braies Lake. The Braies Lake is located in an untouched rock basin and is overlooked by the majestic Seekofel, it is also considered the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites. To see it all, a walk of one and a half hours on the easy circular path is enough. For our spring special and autumn special, we offer you the opportunity to book a seat on the bus that will take you directly to Braies Lake. Here you will have the opportunity to hike and stroll on your own for a few hours before returning to San Vigilio.

During the organ walk, starting from St. Anthony’s Church in Klobenstein to St. Peter’s Church in Siffian and then to the Parish Church of St. Lucy in Unterinn, the young organist Elias Gabriel Huber will showcase the respective church organs. Music from the period of their construction, or pieces particularly suited to them, will highlight the unique sound characteristics of these beautiful instruments. Ticket reservations!

On the car-free day, the mountain pass road is reserved entirely for cyclists and hikers! The road is closed to traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cyclists and pedestrians can enjoy the route freely and safely. There are several refreshment stops along the way, perfect for a relaxing break. Tip: At the Biathlon Centre, a free e-bike rental is available (Huski Rental) – note: limited availability!

The magnificent woodlands of Alta Badia were deeply affected by the Vaia storm in 2018, which toppled countless trees across the mountains. Since then, the bark beetle—a pest that targets spruce trees—has spread rapidly, increasing tree mortality by up to 200% in some Alpine areas. September 14 will be a day of unity and action. Together with local residents, visitors, businesses, and nature enthusiasts, we will plant new trees with WOWnature to help restore and regenerate these forests. Thanks to the support of people like you, thousands of trees have already been planted. But our work is not finished. With WOWnature, we aim to continue for as long as the mountains need us and as long as people and companies are willing to contribute. We will plant not only spruces, but also birches, alders, larches, and other broadleaf species to help create a more diverse and resilient ecosystem—better able to withstand pests, disease, and climate change. We start at the Enzianalm in the rear Martell Valley and hike on a moderately steep path along a babbling brook. After a short hike, we reach the Pederstieralm (not open to the public) and from there continue on a gentle ascent to the Pederköpfl. During a short break, we enjoy the wonderful view of the Martell glacier on the opposite side. We then descend to the Lifyalm. After a refreshment stop, we continue downhill to Gasthof Zufritt at the Martell reservoir. Elevation gain: approx. 550 m Walking time: approx. 3-3.5 hours Difficulty: moderate

An eventful hike together to St Sepulchre's Hill with its chapel, trenches and rock bunker. We enjoy the beautiful view over the middle Eisack valley. We also learn interesting facts about the history, culture and landscape. We walk through the village to the wine-growing lookout point of the Eisacktal valley winery below, where selected wines are tasted in the middle of the vineyards. At the Torgglerhof farm, hiking guide Lorenz Fischnaller tells us about the past and present work on the small farm over a Slow Food aperitif. Farmer's wife Margareth serves up delicacies from the home garden and local farms to accompany the tasting of the mineral crystal wine. We then walk back to the village and visit the special exhibition ‘Noble Stones - Noble Tones’ in the museum. At the Huaberhof farm next door, we finish with a tasting of biodynamic wine.
