From September 18 to 21, 2025, the South Tyrolean CleanUP Days will take place once again – a province-wide initiative to clean up our natural environment together. As a GSTC-certified holiday region, it is especially important to us in the Dolomites Three Peaks region to send a strong message of lived sustainability and active environmental protection. Collect waste together for a healthy nature!

For four days from 18th to 21st September, the motto in South Tyrol is: go out and collect waste together. Participate with your team or alone, clean up and enjoy the nature at the South Tyrol CleanUp Days. The Ahrntal valley invites you to actively participate. Make your mark too by joining in.

An all-time favourite with young and old alike and a sustainable novelty here in our climes, which offer perfect conditions to our furry friends from North America, is a trekking tour with llamas. In addition to an informative guided tour, the trekking also includes a tour of the farm where the animals are kept, insights into farm life and, last but not least, a "Marende" (afternoon snack) at the Waldharthof farm. Via Bozen-Trient–Verona (short stay at a motorway station), we drive along the motorway to Padua and Venice. Arrival at around 10 a.m. By boat, we make our way to Saint Mark’s square in the centre of Venice. The city is built on 118 islands and offers many palaces and churches, romantic water ways and bridges, which bear witness to the former glory of the town. We stay in Venice for approx. 5 hours and return back via the Val Sugana to Trient and from there to Bozen and Schenna.

The night sky has fascinated humans since ancient times. With an expert eye you can discover many things about stars, planets and constellations. Julian, an astronomy enthusiast, takes us with him during this night observation taking advantage of the total darkness to admire the beauty of the universe.

From April to the beginning of November, young winemaker Lukas from the Hillepranterhof invites you to enjoy his exquisite wines every Thursday at 5:30 pm. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of viticulture on a guided tour of the vineyard and cellar. On request, you can also be served a platter of regional specialties. Winegrowing has been a tradition at the Hillepranterhof for generations. Since 2021, winemaker Lukas has been processing the grapes directly on the estate and marketing his wines independently. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Vernatsch and Pinot Noir grow on the slopes of the vineyard. The Pinot Noir is a real highlight and embodies the unique character of the terroir. Things are “young and dynamic” at the Hillepranterhof - the Kapfinger family looks forward to your visit! The event takes place in German.

What exactly is sustainable winegrowing? During a guided tour through the small vineyard, you learn about the ecology of vineyards. You gain an insight into how wine is produced sustainably, from planting and managing the vineyard to processing the grapes and reaching the final quality of the wine. The guided tour finishes with a wine tasting of Messnerhof wines. Duration: about 1.5 hours. Minimum number of participants: 6.

The authentic wine experience for all senses takes place in the newly created wing of the Cantina Kurtatsch. During the visit, you will gain fascinating insights into the importance of terroir, the variety of Kurtatsch’s vineyard sites, and its unique wines. The educational TERROIR Experience will lead you into the new dolomite barrique cellar with its natural rock wall and conclude with a tasting of 5 wines from our TERROIR line. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 18 people. Please note that dogs are welcome in our wine shop and on the terrace, but for hygiene reasons they cannot take part in the guided tours. Südtirols Süden Card: If you are in possession of the “Südtirols Süden Card”, please indicate this in the appropriate field when booking. The discount will then be applied automatically. The indication that you hold the Guest Card must be made during the booking process, as the discount cannot be granted retrospectively. Children are very welcome to join the guided tour. The train experts Martin Broy & Klaus Demar tell interesting facts about the history of the Rittner Bahn and guide you through the remise of Klobenstein & Oberbozen, afterwards special ride with historical train. Program: 10 a.m.: Meeting point at Klobenstein station with a short guided tour of the Remise, ride from Klobenstein to Oberbozen & guided tour of the remise at Oberbozen. At 1.10 p.m. special ride with the historic train from Oberbozen to Maria Himmelfahrt. Only with reservation at the Tourist Office Ritten/Renon. "The machinist turns the crank, the wagon spins and purrs, a little jerk, then it starts moving..." This is a quote from 1907 when the people from Bozen took the railway Renon (Rittner Bahn) to their summer retreat on the high plateau. Even today, after 113 years, our railway still runs between Maria Himmelfahrt, Oberbozen and Klobenstein as the only narrow-gauge railway in South Tyrol.

Discover the Infopoint Steger Sawmill! Visitors can explore a Venetian frame saw from the 16.th century as well as the former sawmaster's house. In addition to these witnesses of Alpine craftsmanship anc cultural heritage, the infopoint also features various exhibition elements. These include a sound station for bird calls, a film booth, a visitor information system about the fauna, flora and geology of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. Explore the Bio Kandlwaalhof in Laas together with the Luggin family, where excellent, high-quality fruits and herbs ripen at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level and in a balanced climate. During a guided tour of the orchards, you will gain an interesting insight into organic apple cultivation. Afterwards, you can taste lovingly crafted products such as apple juice, dried fruit, vinegar, and mustard.

The Bee Trail in Trens Freienfeld is a varied and educational themed hike for the whole family. On this peaceful and adventurous walk, you'll learn all sorts of interesting facts about bees, the creation, and processing of honey, and other bee products such as beeswax, pollen, propolis, and more. At the exploration and observation beehive, you can explore the inner workings of a beehive and learn about the processing of honey and other honey products. Possible with stroller; no risk of bee stings. Tasting of honey at the observation beehive is seasonal. Afterwards, there will be a small tasting at the Hotel Post in Trens.
