Come and delve into a real-life wine experience at the bio farm Rielinger. The wine farmer will give you a tour of the vineyard, explaining the different grapes and their cultivation. We cultivate the white wine varieties Blatterle, Müller Thurgau, Kerner and Riesling as well as the red wines Schiava and Zweigelt. After the vineyard tour you’ll hit the cellar where we show you how the wine is fermented and aged. At the end of the tour of course you may taste our in-house wines. Our hike takes you along an idyllic route where you can immerse yourself in the stories and legends of special names. Participation is free, but prior registration is required. The tombstones of St. Nicholas are silent treasures – in this excursion, we bring them to life. For a long time, the churchyard, directly built against the rocks of Küchelberg, served as the city’s burial place. In 1848, it was abandoned after it had become too cramped. The remaining tombstones, some of which come from the interior of the parish church, now give us a multifaceted glimpse into the past: here, mostly clergy, aristocrats, higher citizens, and entrepreneurs are buried, often alongside their children and wives who died young. The inscriptions on the tombstones speak of a fate and devotion to God that seems far removed from our secular world today.

For centuries, the Naifbach stream posed a threat to the districts of Maia Alta and Maia Bassa. In an effort to protect the area from flooding, a chapel dedicated to the Immaculate Conception was built at a secluded spot at the entrance to the Naif Valley. In 1703, a hermitage was established next to the chapel. That the hermits, who once prayed and fasted in this remote location, did not fully renounce worldly comforts is evidenced by Brother Peter, who around 1728 petitioned the Merano city council for a supply of wine. The closure of the hermitage in 1782 did not mark the end of its story. The mystical atmosphere of this place continues to captivate visitors to this day. The castle ruins of Festenstein can be descirbed as Andriano's symbol. It reigns over Andriano from the lofty, rocky outcrop of the Gola del Rio Gaida, Its location was certainly a pondered chioce by the stonemason to ensure the weapns of the enemies would never reach the castle. At the same time, the spectacular lcation of the castle offers a 360° view across the lower Valle dell'Adige. Festenstein was first mentioned in written documente in the mid- 13th century. In 2008, Count Meinhard Khuen Belasi purchased teh castle ruins and commissioned, together with the South Tyralean Office for Cultural Heritage, various restoration measures to secure the state of the walls and protect the caste from further dererioration. We start at the Rappenhöfe farms in Kalmtal and hike steeply uphill through the forest, later across alpine meadows to the rustic Faglsalm. Here we stop for refreshments and then hike uphill again to the beautifully situated Faglssee lake, surrounded by alpine pastures and mountains. We have reached the highest point here and now hike along the high trail towards the inner valley. At the end of the valley, we then descend slightly to the Valser Alm. We return comfortably to the starting point via a beautiful forest path. Elevation gain: approx. 800 m Walking time: approx. 5 hours Difficulty: moderately difficult

At the historic "Hof im Thal" in Aldein, situated between Montan and Petersberg, you’ll find a surprisingly large yet refined mushroom kingdom! At 1,500 meters above sea level, specially equipped cells cultivate king oyster mushrooms, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms, which do not need to be washed. "Kirnig"—a term in the local dialect of the Regglberg area meaning steadfast and down-to-earth—perfectly describes the determination needed to establish such a project. Now, South Tyrol's gourmet mushrooms grow at the "Hof im Thal" in a specially adapted barn under the vigilant eyes of these two innovative young farmers. In 2017, the duo created the conditions at the old "Hof im Thal" to supply the local gastronomy and connoisseurs with delicious mushrooms year-round. It was a bold idea, as there were no comparable endeavors in all of South Tyrol at that time. Guided Biketour - Meran 360° Our 360º tour through the Etsch Valley starts in Algund. From there we ride towards Gratsch and then to the Segenbühel viewing point from where we then head towards Merano. Taking several side roads we reach the cycle track leading to Bolzano. At Gargazon we leave the cycle track and reach the fabulous Brandis golf course, from where we pedal towards Tscherms. At Tscherms we ride uphill towards Lebenberg Castle, where we can look forward to a wonderful view of the Burggrafenamt region. At the Haidenhof inn we take a well-deserved break. A lovely scenic road takes us to Marling and then we return along Nörderstrasse to our starting point in Algund. We do 42 km and 700m of elevation gain
