What is the difference between wild and farmed bees, how is a bee colony made up and how is honey actually produced? Beekeeper Walter answers all these questions and gives the participants further interesting information about the industrious helpers of our nature. With the appropriate protective equipment, you can marvel at the inner workings of a beehive and experience at first hand how honey is made, harvested and processed. At the end, you can taste the honey products made on the premises. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

Waldgries was first mentioned in a document in 1242. Today Christian Plattner leads the wine estate with enthusiasm and success in the 3rd generation and gives his wines a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Unique is the wine path "Zeit in Waldgries", where the visitor learns a lot of interesting facts about the winery and the daily work. At the end of the artistically designed path, the visitor is rewarded with a magnificent view of the city of Bolzano and the surrounding castles.

After 1945, many bunkers remained operational during the "Cold War" until they were decommissioned in the 1990s and transferred to the Province of South Tyrol. Some of these defensive structures hold historical significance, offering unique architectural insights today. The bunker at Töll was acquired by the municipalities of Algund and Marling and has been made accessible for guided visits. Registration is obligatory and must be completed at www.meinticket.it.The event takes place in German.

Evening hike to the St. Helena chapel with an art-historical guided tour. This charming little church features rich frescoes from around 1400, created by the Bolzano School of Painting. The style closely relates to frescoes in Terlan’s parish church and St. Catherine’s in Fiè. A highlight is the Niederthor family coat of arms on the triumphal arch, indicating their patronage. Hidden under layers of paint for years, the coat of arms was rediscovered in 1885 and restored in 1938. After the visit, we enjoy the scenic view before returning to the starting point. Join us for a journey into the industrial past of Prad am Stilfserjoch – the historic lime kiln in Schmelz tells stories of hard work, craftsmanship, and local history at the foot of the Stelvio Pass. Please note: Guided tours are available in German and Italian only. Once used to produce quicklime for construction and agriculture, the intricately built kiln is now the last preserved structure of its kind in the Vinschgau Valley and was carefully restored in 2025. As a walk-in heritage site, the kiln offers fascinating insights into the region’s artisanal, mining, and early industrial history. In July and August, we open the doors to this special site and invite you on an exciting journey through nature, technology, and tradition. The St. Valentin church surrounded by meadows and fields, with the Schlern massif in the background, the small church of St. Valentin offers a real idyllic scene. The construction is of great historical and artistic value with precious frescos from the 14th and the 15th century. A peculiarity (among others): the painter has tried to include the local landscape as background in its representation of the three Kings. Together with hiking guide Paula we make our way to St. Valentin church (walk approx. 20 minutes). This is followed by a guided tour of the church and then back to Seis. Guided hike to the outdoor Museum "Anderter Alpe" at Rotwand / Croda Rossa It was the scene of a lot of events during World War I. Today it ist possible to see shelters, trenches and trenches along the path. Four-legged friends are not allowed to participate in this event.

We will meet up in the centre of Spinges and start our hike to the Opera 24 bunker. On our way there, we will have the chance to learn intriguing details about the builder of the Holy Sepulchre Chapel (1685) and the historical and artistic heritage of the local parish church and its small museum. We will also find out about the way of life in an 18th century farmer’s parlour, and why 400 people were burnt alive in a local farmhouse. The highest point of our hike is a bunker in Mussolini’s Alpine Wall, where we will learn about its history before enjoying a picnic on site. In the event of adverse weather, we will skip the hike. The church of St Veit stands on the Tartscher Bühel hill. The Romanesque church from the 11th century houses frescoes inside, some of which are badly damaged.
