Winter excursion to the St. Hippolyt's Church in Naraun/Narano
    Tisens/Tesimo, Meran/Merano and environs

The porphyry hill of St. Hippolyt is situatet in the north of the low mountain range of Tesimo. The 758m high hill stands lonely, away from the noise of the world, and offers a unique panoramic view far over the Adige Valley. No fewer than 20 villages and 40 castles can be seen from up here. Its exposed location also made it one of the oldest prehistoric settlements in South Tyrol.
The Romanesque church of St. Hippolytus is enthroned on the hill.
A forest road leads to the church and the hill, but it is not cleared in winter. Attention: the path can be icy in places, good footwear required!

Winter Hike to the Timmelsalm alp
Moos in Passeier/Moso in Passiria, Meran/Merano and environs
The newly built Timmelsalm is located in the middle of a wide depression above the tree line, nestled between numerous three-thousand-metre peaks. The beautiful alpine pasture with its cozy terrace offers nature lovers a fantastic view of the Ötztal mountain giants. The ascents to the Hofmannspitze, Müllerhütte, Wilden Freiger and Becherhaus also lead directly past the alpine pasture. The Timmelsalm is one of the so-called "Gerichtsalmen" of the Passeier Valley. This is where the people of Passiria are allowed to bring their animals to spend the summer in the mountains. In early summer, sheep and goats are the first to arrive, followed by milking cows for the alpine pasture and galt cattle, i.e. young cows or those that do not produce milk.

The magic trail in Riffian with 20 stations invites children and adults to discover a fantastic world of magic and sorcery. It leads into the deep forest, past a wishing wheel, the labyrinth with the petrified face, eerie voices and obstacles to climb through. With the flying carpet, we float through the gate into the children's factory town. There we can take part in building the city. After skilfully overcoming the city moat and dusting off the magic dust, "only" the experience remains. The artistically designed stations have been created from materials provided by the forest and thus contribute to the magic of the trail.
