Winter Hike to the Ulfaseralm alp

Christl/Cresta, St.Martin in Passeier/San Martino in Passiria, Meran/Merano and environs

For those who like it very leisurely and perhaps push a baby carriage, the short and family-friendly hike to the Ulfaser Alm is highly recommended.

Itinerary

From the parking lot, follow the alp Ulfaser Alp sign and hike along the narrow asphalt road above beautiful farms in a northerly direction into the valley of the Saldern stream. Once in the forest, keep right at a fork in the path and continue along the gravel path into the valley. After some time, cross a bridge, keep right after it and continue along the road. Finally, at the bottom of the valley in a wide left-hand bend slightly uphill to the Ulfaser Alm (1600m).

From Meran/Merano to the Passeiertal Valley in direction until of Timmelsjoch to Moos/Moso then to Platt/Plata and on the left to Ulfas until the parking lot Kratzegg.
