This hiking tour is easy and tranquil - perfect for a walk with your family. You will come through peaceful woods and pass the small brook of Aldino.

Hike through lush meadows and mixed forest to the Möserbiotop and the Aldein mills

This hike goes through both the Monte Corno Natural Park, a scenic jewel rich in flora and fauna, and across the slopes of South Tyrol´s Bassa Atesina. This is where the idyllic villages of Gleno and Casignano can be found. You can enjoy a wonderful view of Castelfeder, the Adige Valley, the Mendola range of mountains and Lake Caldaro to as far away as the mountains above Merano.

From the village center, proceed to the sculpture garden where you can view various fascinating sculptures made of different materials. You can then continue through the splendid natural landscape until you come to the Niedere-Höfe Trail. You will pass by the Perkeo Restaurant and then through the village back to the starting-point. This is an easy stroll through the romantic natural surroundings and culture of Buchholz.

Legends from Trodena/Truden include all sorts of mythical heroes whose stories have been passed down through generations, giving many people in Trodena the shivers. In order to give a brief insight of Trodena’s fabulous beings to interested parties, in 2009 the staff at the Trodena primary school decided to develop the "Trail of Legends". Pupils of the 4th and 5th grade worked on that, they recorded and treated all of the sagas.

The 2 km long circular trail along the Forchwaldegg (trail no. 8) in Trodena proved to be a perfect spot for the Trail of Legends. It is set amidst larch, pine and spruce trees and is very easy to hike.

This pleasant segment leads from idyllic village of Oberradein all the way to Truden – from 1,500 meters to 1,100 meters above sea-level. At the start, you proceed downhill by way of Unterradein until you come to the famed "Ice Holes" of Kaltenbrunn; because of the cool air that streams out of the openings in the ground, it's pleasant here even in the summer. Kaltenbrunn offers refreshment options and connection to public transportation. From here, the route goes slightly uphill and then levels off as you continue to Truden.

On this segment, you will proceed through the Truden Horn Nature Park from the picturesque little village of Altrei to the multi-faceted alpine village of Truden. You will begin on an old cobblestone trail to the high-altitude bog of "Langes Moos." The trail continues upwards via the forest trail until you come to the Krabes-Alm at an elevation of 1,540 meters above sea-level. This is a good opportunity to stop for a rest. The trail continues through the Truden Horn Nature Park and then downhill to the village of Truden.

A hike for hot summer days: shady forests and refreshing water.

You’ll learn about wine cultivation, landscape, and history at a number of different information stations along the way. Above Anterivo/Altrei, a small mountain town on South Tyrol’s language border, some mythical figures are making trouble for some time. Through oral transfer, people of Anterivo have succeeded in preserving their legends until the present day. The local library has collected and written down the legends with children of Anterivo. The primary school staff and pupils used this as a chance to develop the "Trail of Legends".

The hiking trail, which is about 2 km long, starts at the "Lärchenheim" and passes massive larch trees and a partly dense forest until it reaches the sports centre "Ebnerrast".

This hiking tour will lead us through a pine wood to the idyllic Lake Göller, to the “Göller Spitz” (Peak Göller) and the “Rotwand”, a spectacular cliff with an amazing panoramic view of the South Tyrolean mountains and the Val d’Adige. On our way home we will see a ruin called “Burgstallegg” and one of the most beautiful biotopes in South Tyrol, the “Pigleider Moos”.

A walk with panoramic views. It is also worth a tour on the “H” trail to the lookout point in the GEOPARCBletterbach, Dolomites UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

The 3D trail Entiklar - Margreid -Kurtinig is an easy walk which can also be done with a baby carriage. The trail goes from Margreid to Kurtinig through fruit orchards and vineyards and past biotopes where you can observe various animals. Near the soccer fields you can also take a break with the kids at the playground.

The Pinot Noir growing area in Montan and Mazon/Mazzon is one of the most famous in Italy. Furthermore you walk through several monuments and historical places. The walkway is family-friendly and not dangerous.

One highlight after another awaits you on this tour. Natural spectacles, panoramic views, a majestic castle ruin and the warmest bathing lake in the Alps round off the spectrum.

When you take the so-called Solder Hiking Trail, you will start in the village center of Truden to the "Leger" outlook platform. You will pass by the Jäger Cross, and then proceed along the staircase. Suddenly, you will find yourself amidst spectacular alpine scenery where dwarf pines, alpine rhododendrons, the dryas, and other plant species dominate the landscape. From the "Hochwand," you can admire a vast and beautiful panorama. Continue on your way until you come to the Cisloner Alm (managed). From there, you proceed along the trail – similar to a balcony ("Solder" is Tyrolean for "balcony"). You will pass by several great outlook points as you return to the village center.

The circular hiking trail to the Schwarzhorn promises a panoramic view of the ZillertalAlps on the Alpenhauptkamm, the Rosengarten and Latemargroups, the Pelmo and Palagruppe and the Lagoraigpeaks. The Gardamountains, the Ortler Group and the Brenta Group also come into view.

The panoramic tour starts at the Passo Oclini/Jochgrimm and leads to an amzing viewpoint on the border of the Bletterbach Canyon. From here we can admire the South Tyrolean mountains and the different strata of the canyon.

Route from Altrei to Truden: from the starting point of the hike at the Altrei town hall square, follow the marker no.5 and then path no.6 to the Krabes Alm (refreshment stops from May 1st to November 2nd, closed on Tuesdays, no days off in July and August),or directly via the "Langes Moos" biotope, past the Riegenschupf to the Peraschupf, over the Pinterschupfe to the Rungganöhof and from there via the legendary path no. 8 to the starting point in the center of Truden.
By public transport from the end point of the hike back to the starting point.

The ropeway path leads from Gfrill/Cauria to the historic ruins of the ropeway station for material and wood transport.

 

On the shepherds’ track

This leisurely stroll follows a country road through the vineyards to Tramin. At the halfway mark, in the tiny hamlet of Rungg, there is a farmer's inn offering drinks and snacks where you can rest (closed Wednsedays). After a visit to Tramin, we follow the same road back to Kurtatsch.
