The Klumper Trail is a varied hike on the sunny slopes above Latsch, offering beautiful views across the Vinschgau Valley. Along the way, visitors can discover fascinating archaeological and cultural sites, including cup-marked stones, the Klumperplatte, and the historic Latschanderwaal irrigation channel. Stunning views of Kastelbell Castle and the surrounding mountains make the walk especially rewarding. A mountain inn along the route also provides a perfect place to relax and enjoy a break.
Start at the mountain station in San Martino in Monte and go to the Platzmair snack bar. Continue on path no. 8 to pass by numerous treasures that remind you of your ancestors in Val Venosta. Mystic cupstones, "Klumper” slab, fertility slide, Latschanderwaal irrigation channel path and an enchanting view of Castle Castelbello. This art-historical hike invites you to travel back in time.
