Itinerary

The route to Mount Gabler starts from the car park Eistilboden. Go along the little river in direction to the hut Halslhütte and then turn right onto the route that takes us to the Rifugio Grenziana/Enzianhütte (closed). We go left first along a section of the route, and then right up the slopes of Mount Gabler until we reach the summit. We go down via the south-western slope heading towards the Schatzer mountain hut. We take the route to the left and return to the hut Halslhütte, and down the way we came up to return to the car park.

How to get there

Directions

Through the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley to Klausen/Chiusa; turn into Villnöss/Funes valley and drive to St. Peter. Continue from there on the road to Würzjoch pass. At the bridge Russis Kreuz turn left in direction to Plose.
