Circular hike from Oberfennberg to Fenner Joch via Rotwandalm and the Rätersteig trail with beautiful views and peaceful natural surroundings.

On the Fennberger Straße, just before the summit, there is a signpost on the right for ‘Fenner Joch’. We follow the path - marker 3 - which partly turns into a forest road, until we reach the Rotwandalm hollow. There we keep to the right and hike uphill on the Rätersteig to the Fenner Joch (1,608 m). We return to Oberfennberg along the same route.

The circular hike starts in Oberfennberg. The route leads through peaceful forests and meadows up to Fenner Joch. Once at the top, enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The trail then returns to Oberfennberg, completing the circular route.

Details
Overview
The hike includes uphill sections on forest and natural trails. Paths can be slippery when wet. Wear suitable footwear and pay attention to weather conditions.
Sturdy hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, enough water, sun protection and hiking poles if needed are recommended.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Oberfennberg and the impressive panorama from Fenner Joch. On clear days, the mountain scenery is especially beautiful.
By public transport, you can reach Kurtatsch. From there, you can get to Oberfennberg, the starting point of the hike.
Directions
Oberfennberg is easily accessible from the South Tyrolean lowlands and the surrounding villages.

Parking spaces are available in Oberfennberg near the starting point of the hike.
