Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Meran/Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple experts and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session.

Baking together traditional bread in a wood-burning oven is fun and not difficult. The farmers demonstrate step by step how to mix all ingredients to form a dough.
People are invited to lend a hand, and while the dough rises, they may discover the farm, the garden and the animals such as cows, calves, pigs and rabbits. Finally, the loaves will be baked in a wood-burning oven and, afterwards, tasted together. An interesting and exciting experience for the whole family!

The REBE wine hiking trail:
Along the 3.5 km long and easily walkable wine trail between Signat and Rentsch, hikers encounter 10 artistically designed installations by sculptor Filip Doss Moroder. They provide an exciting insight into wine culture and inform about the 13 local grape varieties. From Signat you hike down through the gentle wine hills to the viewing platform with a magnificent view of Bolzano, then on to the Loosmannhof farm, the small village of St. Justina and down to Rentsch to the historic Ansitz Waldgries winery.
Exploring Bolzano: a cultural journey with Speck tasting.
A new and unique leisure offer to discover the historic centre of Bolzano and one of South Tyrol's typical quality products: the Speck Safari, offered in cooperation with the Consorzio dello Speck Alto Adige, combines a guided tour of the historic centre with a tasting of Speck Alto Adige PGI accompanied by a good glass of wine in a traditional tavern, where you can learn about the history, production stages and guidelines of this South Tyrolean speciality.
