When spring arrives, it's time to celebrate. Especially in the valley, where the first harbingers of spring are known to bloom and chirp a little earlier than in the mountains.
On the Alto Adige Wine Road, spring is all about wine and culinary delights. From the end of March to June, exquisite wines and tasty treats can be savoured in the villages from Nals/Nalles to Salurn/Salorno and in the wine town of Bolzano - at top-class wine events, culinary highlight events and various gastronomic weeks in selected restaurants.

Wine and art are playing a very important role at the Eberlehof winery. After visiting the vineyards, there’s a tour through the winery, where you can have a peek at the wine cellar and the wine production process. The vineyards at Popphof are cultivated with great care and dedication. From the first budding to the harvest, every phase in the vineyard is carefully managed. In the wine cellar, the aromas of the young and maturing wines unfold as they rest in oak barrels. Careful pressing, controlled fermentation, and maturation ensure wines of the highest quality. During a barrel tasting with the winemaker, you will experience firsthand how the wines evolve over time.

The Perlhof is a small winery run by Max Thurner and his family. It is located in Oberleitach in the St.-Magdalen region. With a lot of manual work and great passion, the grapes are gently processed and wines full of character are produced.
Discover the story of the South Tyrolean apple in Merano! This apple tour of Merano's fruit cooperative CAFA will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. After a short introductory film, you can explore the entire cooperative in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple.
Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. To round off the tour there is a brief apple tasting session.

We meet at 10 am at Klobenstein station. We take bus 165 to Unterinn. From here we hike to Signat and along the new wine hiking trail "Rebe" to Bolzano.
The sunny mountain slope from Bozen up to the Ritten is one of the finest wine-growing areas in South Tyrol. Along the wine steps, the 10 artistic installations offer a fascinating glimpse into the culture of wine production. From Signat the trail leads downhill through the gently rolling vineyards to the viewing platform with its magnificent views of Bozen, then on to the Loosmannhof, to the settlement of St. Justina and down to Rentsch in the historic wine-growing estate of Ansitz Waldgries. The same route leads back uphill from Bozen to Signat.

Niedereben Farm is situated at an altitude of 634 metres on Nörderberg mountain. Benefiting from the advantageous climate, olives, grapes and cacti all flourish here. The Hofer family supplies the local organic specialist retailer (Biokistl) with its fruit and vegetables and sells a variety of home produced, typical South Tyrolean organic products in their own farm shop.
Cows, pigs, quails, ducks, geese and chickens all feel like “pigs in clover” on the farm! This introduction to the long history of the farm gives visitors an insight into livestock husbandry and wine growing on the Vinschgau’s Nörderberg mountain and shows the route taken from the first olives to the production of the farm’s own olive oil.
The following products are available to buy directly from the farm shop: speck (bacon), salami, smoked sausages, cooked herb-crusted ham, Coppa ham, farmer’s speck, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and in the autumn months chestnuts and pumpkins, apple juice and Vernatsch wine.

Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße/Cortaccia sulla Strada del Vino, Alto Adige Wine Road
Your guide leads you through several stations where she tells about winegrowing, landscape and history. On the way, at the Baron Widmann winery, in the vineyards, at the Castel Turmhof Tiefenbrunner winery and in the Cantina Cortaccia, you can taste 5 typical wines. The walk lasts 3 1/2-4 hours, about 50 minutes of which are spent actually walking.
Discover the current collection of South Tyrol’s first female master distiller, experience the authentic distilling process and taste select wines and spirits in the 14th century tower cellar.
Ripened in the sun, distilled in a copper vat: at the Gaudenz Farm Distillery only first-class, hand-picked fruit finds its way inside. Williams pears, apples, grapes, Vinschgau apricots and quinces are transformed into the finest, single-origin fruit brandies by hand using the keen instinct of the master distiller, which, with their authentic flavour are a true delight for the taste buds.
Christine Schönweger, farmer and South Tyrol’s only female master distiller, describes the path she has taken from a love of fruit, via the art of distilling, to genuine and authentic indulgence, with a guided tour of the Gaudenz farm distillery in the Gaudententurm Residence plus tasting of the farm's own spirits.
Wine tasting and visit to the winery Haidenhof Tscherms. The hillside Haidenhof farm is known for ist first-class wines. The vineyards on ist slopes yield no less than seven Grape varietals, at 16.00 (with registration, T +39 0473 564 451).
Oak, glass and breathtaking views: The Cantina Merano Winery is a must-visit for anyone who loves architecture, design and wine. During a guided cellar tour, visitors can learn how grapes are transformed into wine and explore the stunningly designed cellar spaces, each with its unique color scheme.

Karneid/Cornedo all'Isarco, Dolomites Region Eggental
The Franz Gojer winery is a small family business whose history begins in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalen wine-growing area on the northern sides of Bolzano. In 2007, the family bought a second farm in Karneid in order to also offer white wine in the assortment. A large cellar was also built in Karneid, where all the production of the wines now takes place, as well as an architecturally interesting tasting room.
During a wine tasting, you will learn more about the history of the Gojer family as well as their work throughout the year and taste the wines full of character, which unmistakably demonstrate their origin.
Guided tours always take place on Thursdays at 04:00 p.m.
