We experience the element of water at the Gurgl waterfall and while treading water at the mountain pasture, where we stop for refreshments. We discover various herbs and alpine flowers along the way. Julian from the Wurzer Alm in Hafling has the right spin and is happy to share his knowledge with you. Together you will prepare South Tyrolean dumplings in the traditional way. The location offers a special ambience: the Wurzer Alm, which is nestled between forest and meadows at 1,707 metres above sea level. The prepared dishes are then tasted.

The journey begins, by taking the public bus to Ortisei. Our tour begins with a funicular ride up to the Resciesa (2,200m). From the mountain station, we follow trail no. 35 to the Brogles Hut (2,054m). Behind the hut, the trail merges into the Adolf-Munkel-Trail. At the foot of the Sas Rigais, we continue until we reach the Odle Mountain Hut (1,996m). After a well-deserved and leisurely break, we descend comfortably to Ranui (1,350m). The Waterfall Trail begins in the village of St. Anton in the upper Pflerschtal. In about 2.5 hours of ascent, we hike along the Waterfall Trail and reach the Furtalm at 1690 meters above sea level. We pass numerous waterfalls, accompanied by stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape. After a relaxing lunch break, we will hike back down into the valley to the starting point. Total duration: approx. 6 hours / approx. 500 meters of elevation gain / pure walking time 4.5 hours / Difficulty: Medium. Weekly market in the village center / Farmers' market at the church square – a chance to stroll through the colorful and lively stalls, haggle over prices, and return home satisfied.

We will meet up in the centre of Spinges and start our hike to the Opera 24 bunker. On our way there, we will have the chance to learn intriguing details about the builder of the Holy Sepulchre Chapel (1685) and the historical and artistic heritage of the local parish church and its small museum. We will also find out about the way of life in an 18th century farmer’s parlour, and why 400 people were burnt alive in a local farmhouse. The highest point of our hike is a bunker in Mussolini’s Alpine Wall, where we will learn about its history before enjoying a picnic on site. In the event of adverse weather, we will skip the hike. What is the difference between wild and farmed bees, how is a bee colony made up and how is honey actually produced? Beekeeper Walter answers all these questions and gives the participants further interesting information about the industrious helpers of our nature. With the appropriate protective equipment, you can marvel at the inner workings of a beehive and experience at first hand how honey is made, harvested and processed. At the end, you can taste the honey products made on the premises. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

After 1945, many bunkers remained operational during the "Cold War" until they were decommissioned in the 1990s and transferred to the Province of South Tyrol. Some of these defensive structures hold historical significance, offering unique architectural insights today. The bunker at Töll was acquired by the municipalities of Algund and Marling and has been made accessible for guided visits.
