Every Tuesday a shuttle takes you to the Schartegg car park on the Tscharser Nörderberg mountain. There is the starting point for wonderful hikes to the different alpine pastures. Mountain bikers can explore the new bike area of Nörderberg mountain starting from the Schartegg car park. Limited booster seats for children are available. Dogs are transported only on request and with muzzle. The return journey must be booked separately.

This makes a visit to the old town of Brixen an experience for the whole family. Explore the area in a very special way: on a carriage ride with Haflinger horses. Twice a week, Sonja from the Sulfner riding stable harnesses her good-natured blondes and offers an animal and romantic experience for horse lovers of all ages. The traditional Brenner market takes place every 5th and 20th of the month throughout the year. If this day falls on a Sunday or public holiday, then the market takes place on Saturday before. At the market stalls many different interesting things, such as clothing, utensils and goodies for snacking are waiting. The market takes place every summer from 8.30 to 14.30 During the winter months, it opens from 9.00 to 14:00

The legendary Schupfenfest in San Genesio is a rustic gastronomic festival that enthuses locals and tourists alike. The festival offers the opportunity to combine the pleasure of a beautiful hike in the alpine pastures with the enjoyment of traditional South Tyrolean specialities in mountain huts. The itinerary allows visitors to stop along the way at various 'Schupfe', or huts in South Tyrolean dialect, between San Genesio and Meltina, sampling various typical specialities, from the inevitable farmer's snack to dumplings, Strauben and other sweet pancakes. Of course, there is no shortage of good music or company. So, off to the Schupfenfest in Jenesien, possibly in traditional costumes: lederhosen and dirndl!

On September 21st, Nigerstrasse will be closed to motorized traffic from 08:30 AM to 4:00 PM. During this time, families are warmly invited to take part in the Family Challenge. Local clubs and organizations will set up interactive booths along the street, offering fun and engaging activities for all ages. At each booth, participants can collect a stamp. A horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Malga Frommer - timetable. E-bikes can be rented directly from the local bike rental shops upon registration and payment. The Farmers' Youth Festival takes place at the Viglatscherhof in Steinegg/Collepietra. The Klausner band will provide entertainment from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the best milkers. Craft corner with Hube. Food and drink will be provided.

The return of the herds from summer pastures in the Tel high mountain valley is appropriately celebrated at the Nasereit Alpine shelter, in accordance with the old farming tradition.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Nigerstraße at the foot of the Rosengarten will be reserved exclusively for hikers and cyclists. From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the road will be closed to car and motorcycle traffic. The cable cars from Welschnofen and Tiers will bring all visitors to the Nigerstraße without using a car. Along the route, restaurants offer delicious local specialties, and a horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Frommer Alm. E-bikes can be rented at the bike rental at the top station of the Welschnofen/Frommer Alm cable car. As part of the Family Bike & Hiking Day, the second edition of the Family Challenge takes place along the Nigerstraße. The Haflinger Breeding Association of Meransen warmly invites you to the 22nd Eisack Valley Foal Show on Sunday, 21 September 2025 at the Wieserhof farm in Meransen. A festive day dedicated to the proud Haflinger horses awaits you – with musical entertainment and delicious “Strauben”, prepared by the female farmers of Meransen.

11:40 a.m.: Parade with the horses, the Meransen brass band, Schuhplattler dancers and the Haflinger carriage from the church square to the foal show at Wieserhof

An exciting afternoon full of play and movement awaits you! On the bike course with roundabout and real traffic light, you can ride your own bikes, scooters, or try out the fun trikes provided by the VKE play bus. The bike guides of the Bike Academy Lana will offer cycling technique courses every hour from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, teaching children and adults how to ride safely – of course on the bike course with traffic light. Snacks and drinks will be provided by VKE, including sausages, cakes, popcorn, and beverages. ATTENTION: In case of rain, the event will be cancelled! The road from the campsite in Tesimo to the vocational school will remain closed to traffic for the entire duration of the event!

It shows an electric train on an 800 m track, an original steam engine locomotive Waldenburg Switzerland, a tank engine locomotive, and two wagons of the Rhaetic train. The local hiking guide will lead you on this easy circular hike to the show distillery. It goes past high moors, watercourses and alpine meadows. From Laion, we take the public bus to Ortisei. Our tour begins with a ride on the funicular to the Resciesa mount. From the mountain station, we take the path to Cason alpine hut and than to the summit cross of Resciesa, at an altitude of 2,280 metres. There we can enjoy a breathtaking sunset. After sunset we descend to Ortisei, to the Martin bus stop, where the taxi takes us back to Laion.
