Some things are worth an early rise, even on holiday. You will be rewarded with the unique experience of an Alpine sunrise. We will take the cable car to reach an altitude of 2,000 metres and set off in the dark, experiencing how the new day arises from the silence of the night one step at a time. After an easy hike (approx 40 minutes, 130 meters elevation gain) to the Steinermandl panoramic platform, we will savour the magical moment when the first sun rays bathe the mountains in their bright light. The experience is rounded off by a stopover for refreshments at a mountain hut. (Consumption against payment) The descent by cable car is available from 8:30 a.m.

During the colourful autumn, families interested in nature learn in a playful way about the forest and its inhabitants together with a biologist on a walk around St. Magdalena: Which trees grow in Villnöss valley? Which animals can we observe in the forest? You will learn lots of exciting things about the forest through games, searching for clues and interesting materials. The hike starts at the village square in Lajen/Laion. From here you walk together with the hiking guide Helmuth via Fonteklaus to Freins. Arrived at Petra's Honey Hut you come to the first tasting. Different honey variations are tasted and different products are discovered. All are self-produced and processed. Now it goes back to Fonteklaus where lunch is already waiting. After lunch we continue to Lusenegg where the taxi will take us to Novale/Ried. Here is the second stop - jam. At the Zinegg farm there is a wide variety of jams to taste. Climbing is fun, not only for the children! On the climbing wall we train strength and agility in a completely playful way. But we also experience community and learn what it means to act in a self-determined way. By exposing ourselves to calculable risks, we experience success and failure and learn how to deal with them. The course is aimed at children from the age of 8 and adults. Note: Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent!

We cross the village and then descend along the ancient Roman path to the famous Ritten earth pyramids. Once there, we give our animals and ourselves a little breather, during which you can read about the history of the earth pyramids on the notice board, take photos or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. After the short break, we climb back up the ancient Roman path. Once we arrive in the village at the cable car station, we make another short stop and those who wish can treat themselves to an ice cream or refreshment at Cafe Fink. Strengthened, we then start the rest of the way back to the pasture of our llama and alpaca stallions. Note: If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to convert this tour into a shorter trek. Join our local village enthusiast Johanna for an especially lantern walk along the beautiful Marlinger Waalweg Trail and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere as darkness envelops the landscape and the lanterns light the way. On this special hike you will learn historical, current and legendary facts about Marling. The route takes you on a relaxed stroll through the village and along the historic Waalweg Trail. After the evening round, you’ll be welcomed at the Marling church square with sweet pastries, a glass of Marling wine, or a refreshing South Tyrolean apple juice, the perfect way to conclude a unforgettable evening. This easy hike takes you to a farm in the idyllic hamlet of Pein, where you will prepare a farmhouse pizza together with farmer's wife Johanna and bake it in the stone oven. Johanna will also explain how she makes mozzarella and will certainly let you taste some of her homemade products. On the way back, you will visit Martha and her little ‘Ladile’ (farm shop). She will tell you about her products and how she processes all kinds of herbs into teas and tinctures.

"Schwanen" with Eva Sotriffer A puppet theatre (almost) without words, freely inspired by H.C. Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling.” Too big, too long, too skinny, too wobbly, too grey, too slow, too clumsy! Why am I different from all the others? The little duckling is out of luck. It doesn’t fit in anywhere, always stands out, and yes — it’s ugly, too. Even as an egg, it didn’t look like the others. So the duckling stumbles from one uncomfortable situation to the next. It encounters loneliness, exclusion, rejection, and even some cruelty. But then, something begins to stir inside. Where did that wing come from? Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale The Ugly Duckling, Schwanen questions the ideas of “beauty” and “ugliness”, and explores why it can be so difficult to truly see ourselves as we are. ONLY GERMAN AND ITALIAN SPEAKING GUIDES! Baking together traditional bread in a wood-burning oven is fun and not difficult. The farmers demonstrate step by step how to mix all ingredients to form a dough. People are invited to lend a hand, and while the dough rises, they may discover the farm, the garden and the animals such as cows, calves, pigs and rabbits. Finally, the loaves will be baked in a wood-burning oven and, afterwards, tasted together. An interesting and exciting experience for the whole family! On the occasion of the feast of St. Martin, the Municipality of Bolzano, in collaboration with the Tourist Board, invites children and families from nursery and primary schools in the Centro-Piani and Rencio districts to take part in the St. Martin's parade. The meeting point is on Tuesday 11 November at 4.30 pm in the courtyard of the Franciscan Church. The parade will pass through Piazza Erbe and Via dei Portici, arriving in Piazza Municipio at around 5.30 pm, where the legend of St. Martin will be read and a small gift will be given to participants. Families are invited to accompany their children, who may bring traditional St. Martin's lanterns (which must not contain open flames but be illuminated with LED lights). We look forward to sharing this festive moment with you!

The KFS (family association) is organising a small St. Martin's Day celebration on 11th November. Meeting point at 5.30 pm in the school yard. Followed by a candlelight parade into the church of St. Peter. The members of the family association are looking forward to many colourful lights and shining children's eyes.

On 11th November, a St Martin's procession will be organised in Teis. We will leave together with the lanterns at 5.30 pm from the church square towards the festival square. Anyone can join the procession on the way. There we will celebrate a short devotion with St Martin and end the evening with chestnuts and tea.
