This year in December there will take place the 58th edition of the Saslong Classic, valid for the FIS Ski World Cup. The athletes of the Super-G will go in scene on Friday 19th December 2025 and the day after, Saturday 20th December 2025, will attempt the stars of the classic downhill race on the Saslong. Don't miss this amazing event with the stars and champions of the alpine ski world cup. On Friday there will be the Super-G award ceremony and the downhill athletes presentation.

Val Gardena is a paradise for skiers regardless of their level: newbies and passionate amateur skiers spend their holidays in the valley. However, for a few days a year, the skiing slopes of Dolomites Val Gardena attract the creme de la creme of skiing. And you, as our guests, will have the opportunity of following the skiing stars live from the edge of the slopes as they battle for a place on the podium of the FIS World Cup. The history of the World Cup in Dolomites Val Gardena goes back to the 1970s. The Saslong slope is one of the most beautiful and well-known stages of the world cup, what with its famous and feared ‘camel hump’ and speeds of up to 100 km an hour. The Ski World Cup took place in 1970 in Dolomites Val Gardena, among other places; on that occasion the whole skiing world set its eyes on the Saslong slope. Women and men took part in dozens and dozens of races on the slope as well as on the region’s other famous slopes: Ronc, Ciampinoi and Cir. Today, a super-G and a men’s downhill race take place in Dolomites Val Gardena once a year. Local celebrities and international legends fulfilled their dream of one day being the winner of the FIS ski World Cup in Dolomites Val Gardena. Among the winners of the downhill we have known skiers such as Peter Müller, Rob Boyd, Michael Walchhofer and Kristian Ghedina.

Drawing - The Mals Christmas lottery The Malser Christmas lottery is a campaign organised by the merchants and businesses of the municipality of Mals. Everyone who makes a purchase worth more than €10.00 in one of the participating businesses in the municipality between 1 and 30 December will receive a ticket for the chance to win great prizes! Pinecone Angels & Christmas Stars From 3:00 – 5:00 PM, we’ll get creative and make charming pinecone angels and sparkling stars – for hanging or as decorative sticks. Let your imagination run wild and craft beautiful Christmas decorations!

A few days before Christmas, we forget the pre-holiday bustle and create a fairy-tale felt oasis of calm. We will learn to make beautiful Christmas decorations from local sheep’s wool using the dry-felting technique. While crafting, we will listen to winter and Christmas tales told orally from around the world.

Seis am Schlern is getting ready for a magical Advent and Christmas season!
