Easy hike for the whole family on scenic mountain trails. The highlight of the entire route is a visit to the Christomannos Monument -a bronze eagle, which was built in honor of the tourism pioneer Theodor Christomannos. From there you have a wonderful view over the Val di Fassa and the Val d'Ega as far as the Latemar group.
The [E5] trail is the European long-distance hiking trail that leads from Constance over the Alps to Venice. By taking this route, the hiker can experience a small section of this trail. The hikers walk through the typical woods of the high plateau of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen and Kohlern/Colle. At Rotstein and Rotwand, two panoramic outlook ponts, an overwhelming glance over the Überetsch/Oltradige, Unterland/Bassa Atesina and Etschtal/Val d'Adige is guaranteed.
Empress Elisabeth of Austria and Queen of Hungary, also known as Sissi, stayed in August 1897 for a long relaxing holiday at the Grand Hotel Carezza. She undertook extensive excursions through the surrounding area. This walk was one of her favorites. In her honor, this walk today is called "Elisabethpromenade".
