Old Urthaler family photographs illustrate the rich family history of the hotel keepers and provide a touch of nostalgia to the bar with its adjoining sun terrace. Our kitchen offers a typical South Tyrolean menu. You can taste the well-known Knödel, the homemade Schlutzkrapfen (South Tyrolean ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach) or the famous Spätzle. For meat lovers, we offer a menu based on local wild game.

The Naserhof snack bar is set in a beautiful mountain landscape, surrounded by hiking trails with views of the Passeiertal Valley and the Hirzer hiking area, above the Merano High Mountain Trail. The Talbauer Inn in Tirolo is in an impressive panoramic location. Especially favored by the climate, the Talbauer Inn sits at 1,200 m a.s.l. like an eagle's nest on the side of the Mut mountain above the spa town of Merano. The Gamper family has run a traditional inn here serving hearty cuisine since 1961. The Talbauer Inn stands at the heart of South Tyrol on the southern slopes of the Texelgruppe Nature Park with views of Merano and the Val d'Adige. It is a perfect place to stop and rest and the ideal base for summit ascents and multi-day hikes along the famous Merano High Mountain Trail.

Young chef Franz Mulser conjures up superlative dishes in a small kitchen just two and a half square metres in size at an altitude of 1930 m. The young chef’s maxim is “fresh and natural”. The hut has a maximum capacity of 25 people and, in the evenings, meals must be booked in advance. During the day, hikers and, in winter, skiers and snowboarders come here in search of refreshment. The evenings are particularly relaxing and guests can enjoy Franz’s dishes, such as hay soup with truffles or local venison.

The Schliniger Alm is located at 1,868 m above sea level in the Sesvenna mountain group. From the village of Schlinig, you can reach the alp either on foot (even with a stroller), or by bike. In winter, the path is rolled daily, so you do not need winter equipment such as snowshoes or touring skis. It is recommended to take a toboggan for the way back. Offered is a wonderful panoramic view of the valley to the east and the mighty Schwarze Wand with the waterfall to the west. Let yourself be spoiled by the Almgasthaus cuisine and the products of the cheese dairy. The Schliniger Alm is not only a popular destination for families and athletes, but also offers one of the best alpine cheeses of the Upper Vinschgau in the alpine dairy. Opening times: End of May until beginning of November and mid-December to mid-April On reservation the Schliniger Alm is also open in the evening!
