The Schgaguler Schwaige mountain hut, lying at 1905m near the mountain station of the Ortisei / Alpe di Siusi cable car, opened in 1991. The hut is easily reached regardless of the season, whether during a bike tour or hike in summer or as part of a ski tour or snowshoe hike in winter. The spacious terrace is perfect for an outdoor lunch and guests can head to the garden to relax and sunbathe in the deckchairs. There is a playground and a small petting zoo nearby, where rabbits, goats, ponies and even lamas look forward to a visit from the children. The rustic interior is in traditional rustic style and includes a Stube perfect for spending time in good company - often for longer than expected, especially in winter! The residence is a playful Early Renaissance building from the second half of the 16th Century. For several generations, the beautiful, romantic building has been private property and was changed into a bar and Törggele cellar. The residence consists of some oriel towers, a free-standing staircase with loggia, simple wooden ceilings and decorative frescoes. The entire residence reflects pride and beauty. Many years ago, it was protected from the road by a battlement wall.

The Schgaguler hut offers typical dishes, as well as cheese, Speck (bacon) and local wines. Accessibility From Compaccio/Compatsch, follow trail no. 30 as far as Ritsch and then trail no. 9 to the Schgaguler hut. It takes ten minutes on foot from the mountain station of the Ortisei/St. Ulrich lift.

The Plantapatschhütte hut is a local restaurant at the top station of the chairlift on the adventure mountain Watles . Guests are spoiled with a varied selection of local specialities. The Plantapatsch hut can be reached by chairlift or on foot along trail no. 3.

Restaurant valley farm "Mutkopf" – your last stop on the way to the Mutpeak. The Mutkopf restaurant valley farm is an idyllic hiking destination with astonishing views over the Adige Valley (Merano side), the Venosta Valley up to the Ortler range and onto the peaks of the south-tyrolean Dolomites to the south. The Restaurant valley farm Mutkopf and the guesthouse Talbauer (Locanda) are run by members of the same family. A winding trail climbs up the mountain from the Talbauer, through the shaded forests up to a natural panoramic plateau. Here - at a height of 1684m - lies the guesthouse Mutkopf. This establishment is the last stop for hikers on the way to the Mutpeak and an ideal resting opportunity halfway to the lakes of Sopranes into the fascinating mountain landscape of the Texel Nature Park.
