Skiing has never been so easy

Public transport, the Mobilcard and ski rental promise you an extremely relaxed ski day.

Would you like to enjoy a stress-free and environmentally friendly ski day and leave your car at your accommodation? The ski areas in the Dolomites are easily reached by train, bus or shuttle bus services from the towns and villages in South Tyrol. With a single ticket, the Mobilcard, you can use all the public transport in South Tyrol. Buses and trains take you directly to the valley station for the cable cars and lifts – and then you're right in the thick of the fun on the slopes.

As for your ski equipment, you can feel confident about leaving it at home. The rental points at the valley stations for the cable cars and lifts offer you a wide range of winter sports equipment from the best brands and the latest models – from skis to snowboards to equipment for young skiers. You will always receive sound, professional advice. If you prefer to bring your own equipment, the ski depots at the foot of the ski areas guarantee secure, convenient storage.

Straight to the slopes by bus and train

From Vierschach-Helm/Versciaco-Elmo railway station, you can reach the 3 Zinnen Dolomiten ski area on foot. The Ski Pustertal Express runs every half an hour and connects the ski area with Kronplatz in around 40 minutes.

The ski areas in the Dolomites Region Alta Badia can be reached by public transport; ski buses connect the stops with the cable cars and lifts. These connections provide access to the Sellaronda and Gebirgsjägertour ski circuits. The free “Connecting Skiers” ski bus transfer service from the Piculin valley station connects the Alta Badia and Kronplatz ski areas every 20 minutes.

The Kronplatz ski area has a direct connection to the Percha/Perca railway station. From the railway track, you reach the Ried/Novale cable car, which takes you straight to the piste. The train can also be used as a connection to the 3 Zinnen Dolomiten ski area. From the surrounding villages that do not lie along the railway line, you can reach the Kronplatz ski area via regular ski buses.

The ski lifts in Vals/Valles, the valley station for the Jochtal cable car and the Gaisjoch connecting cable car (which connects Vals/Jochtal with the Gitschberg mountain) can be reached from Mühlbach/Rio di Pusteria railway station by ski bus every hour. From the village centre of Mühlbach, the cable car takes you to Meransen/Maranza in 10 minutes. From there, you can walk to the valley station for the Gitschberg cable car. From Christmas throughout the entire ski season, a free ski bus runs between the mountain station for the Mühlbach-Meransen cable car and the Gitschberg valley station.

From the surrounding villages that do not lie along the railway line, you can reach the Gitschberg-Jochtal ski area via regular ski buses.

Val Gardena ski area: You can reach the Urtijëi/Ortisei, S.Crestina/S.Cristina and Sëlva/Selva ski areas from the railway station in Bolzano via the public transport buses. Within the villages, there are also ski buses that take winter sports enthusiasts to the cable cars and lifts, including the starting point for the Sellaronda ski circuit. Moreover, Val Gardena is served by “Freccialink” and thus offers a seamless connection to the most important Italian cities.

Alpe di Siusi ski area: The villages of Kastelruth/Castelrotto, Seis/Siusi, Völs/Fiè and Tiers/Tires, as well as the cable car for the Seiser Alm (Seis), can be reached by public transport from Bolzano railway station.
